Water sports and leisure activities Puy-De-Dôme

The leisure center is dedicated to thrill-seekers. Supervised by a team of qualified professionals, try your hand at saddle or hand jet-skiing. Or try out the towed buoys for more fun. Beginners can try their hand at sensation baptism, while the more adventurous can try their hand at flyboarding. The leisure park has a playground, beach volleyball, badminton, ping-pong, pétanque and paintball courts. Issoire Plage offers birthday parties, seminars and team building, weddings and Koh-Lanta challenges.

The Aubusson lake has been awarded the Blue Flag since 2020 and offers many pleasures: relaxing on the lawns and on the beach, supervised swimming, environmental awareness activities, pétanque, soccer, volleyball, bicycle rental, playgrounds and orienteering courses. Canoe, pedal boat and paddle are available for rent. Nearby, marked trails are accessible all year round. Discover the fauna and flora in a playful way on the Saute-Ruisseau path, thanks to enamelled lava panels.

The sailing school at the base nautique offers the opportunity to sail on a variety of boats: kayaks, paddleboats, catamarans, e-foils and wing foils... It has modern facilities and offers a range of activities: discovery mornings, private lessons, introductory and advanced courses, and teenage courses. In July and August, two boats are available for people with reduced mobility, as well as Tiralos for supervised swimming. Bikes are also available for hire.

Contrary to other lakes, which are the result of volcanic activity, the water of Saint-Eloy-les-Mines has its origin in human activity. In the past, there was a stadium and a fairground here, which were engulfed in a mining collapse. After their closure in 1978, it was decided to embellish the landscape by flooding the galleries. Today, the lake is open for swimming, fishing and pedal boats. On its shore one can relax, picnic, play and do sports.

Quieter and more modest in size than its counterpart in Clermont-Ferrand, the Chamalières aquatic centre nevertheless has a covered Olympic pool, a 40-metre wave pool (waves at set times), a slide and a range of water games on a large landscaped esplanade. It also offers some activities (paying) of 45 minutes, supervised by professionals: aquagym, aquajogging, aquabike, aquaphobia and for children aquaplouf and aquakid and baby swimming sessions.

With its large swimming pool, this beautiful stone building is the perfect place to relax on a hot summer's day. Around the pool, colorful deckchairs and parasols are a hit! You can also spread out your towel to sunbathe on the vast lawn. Visit the bar for a cocktail and tapas, or the restaurant for a delicious meal. Special mention for the view of the Puy de Dôme, particularly magical at sunset. A refreshing spot just 15 minutes from Issoire!

The pool is pleasant, functional and energy efficient. The solar panels and the photovoltaic power plant that transforms the sun's rays into hot water will not contradict this description. Surrounded by wood and glass windows, the pool has a total of 441 m² of water surface, divided into 3 pools (swimming, learning and paddling). It is a real haven of light in the heart of the leisure center! Outside, there is a solarium to relax and water games. Take an Aquabike or Aquakid class to make the most of it.

Olympic-size pool, leisure pool, diving pit, waterslide, solarium, relaxation area: the whole complex is surrounded by a green outdoor area, perfect for laying out your towel. The removable roof opens in summer to let the sun shine in. The premises are very popular in summer. For this reason, you'll want to book off-peak times. The Stade Nautique also offers aquagym, aquafit and aquabike sessions. Bathing caps must be worn.

Auvergne Loisirs offers a wide range of outdoor activities. Its base is located on the banks of the Allier, and welcomes adventurers fond of canoeing or kayaking. The establishment also offers canyoning near Lake Chambon and paintball in Lempdes. From spring on, you can rent equipment for a day, half-day or several days. Supervised or free, these disciplines are for everyone, from novices to thrill seekers. Multi-activity or whitewater packages are prepared for specific requests.

In 2024, the aquatic center got a facelift! The extension project has given it a complete makeover. A new swimming pool, a fun hall with slides, paddling pool and water games, an aquagym and aquabike pool, massage jets and a counter-current river complete the offer. For relaxation, head for the wellness area (jacuzzi, sauna, hammam...). Sporting activities are offered all year round by a team of entertainers and lifeguards, including swimming lessons, aquagym classes and birth preparation sessions.

Close to Clermont-Ferrand, the lake is a breath of fresh air away from the main roads. You'll appreciate the surrounding green spaces, playgrounds and water games, as well as the swimming area, which is supervised in summer. There are also orienteering trails along the Allier River. Picnics and barbecues are also available. Showers and toilets are available for swimmers and joggers. The leisure center offers a wide range of activities: kayaking, canoeing and wakeboarding...

Every summer, inflatables are installed on Lac d'Hermine. Children must be able to swim to access them. Two new structures have been installed near the beach and are accessible to children aged 4 to 12. For the little ones, there's a range of suitable water sports equipment. Wetsuits and life jackets are provided. You can also rent pedalos, windsurfers, dinghies and kayaks. The beach is equipped and bathing is supervised.

The balneoludic pool includes a 25-meter sports area with 3 lines for swimmers and a fun area with massaging beds, jets and whirlpools for the whole family. Children will have fun in the aquasplash while parents can relax in the wellness area. The latter is fully equipped for relaxation with a sauna and a hammam. Numerous activities are offered for everyone: aquagym, aquabiking, aquakids, swimming lessons..

A large 25-metre pool, a smaller 12-metre pool and a 7-metre paddling pool give everyone the chance to learn to swim, or just do a few laps in peace and quiet. A 36-meter-long slide adds a touch of fun. The pool is adapted for disabled swimmers. It has also been awarded the Tourisme et Handicap label. A range of activities, supervised by sports instructors, are available to the public, including aquabike, aquajogging and baby swimming.

The La Prade lake is popular with anglers, as well as with the few holidaymakers who have discovered this somewhat secret spot. Many return year after year, seduced by the simple, gentle atmosphere. Its large grassy beach, punctuated by a few trees, makes it a particularly pleasant and beautiful place to rest, read and contemplate. A camping area sits alongside, sheltered by tall coniferous trees. During the fishing season, fishing cards are on sale at the lake's restaurant.

This is one of our favorite spots to relax by the water. Much frequented by fishermen, the site is also shared by walkers, bathers and campers. In summer, swimming is supervised. Near the pond, you'll find miniature golf, tennis courts, a pétanque court, playgrounds and a skate park. The beach and grassy areas surrounding the pond are ideal for picnics and siestas. It's the perfect place to spend some family time.

The aquatic center has two areas. One is made up of a 25 m sports pool, a 100 m² balneoludic pool and a paddling pool-lagoon area for children. The fitness area offers the best of well-being, with a 50 m² Zen pool, three saunas, two hammams, a cold bath, an eight-seat spa, two double spas, a themed relaxation room and a solarium. For sports enthusiasts, numerous courses are offered. There are even moments proposed for babies.

Pioneer in Clermont-Ferrand, this diving club was born nearly sixty years ago. Today it has more than 200 members. The team welcomes deep-sea enthusiasts from 8 years old, for baptisms, initiations and to prepare level 1 to 3 diplomas. The membership to the club includes the license, the federal insurance, the loan of equipment (tanks, stabilizers and regulators) and the supervision of theoretical and practical courses. Since 2014, the club is the only one in Auvergne to provide a Nitrox compressor, as well as the associated training.
