It's been almost 25 years since Nicole Guillien took possession of the Moulin Fradet, which has been in existence since the ^17th century. It has now become a showcase for her enamelled lava works of all sizes, as well as for her watercolours. Come and admire Nicole's work in four exhibition rooms, but also enjoy the bucolic setting of the site and its garden. The artist also gives watercolor classes for children, teenagers and adults of all levels.

For over a century, Fayet has been making top-of-the-range canes. Listed in the inventory of rare crafts, its art is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The manual expertise of this century-old company, which has been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, has remained unchanged for four generations. Fayet canes, symbolic figures of the rebirth of elegance, restore the cane to its former glory, with a choice of exceptional knobs and barrels. Canes and umbrellas are made with refinement.

Dedicating his art to magnify the stone of Volvic, Thierry Courtadon gives, through his works, a new breath to the family know-how. The artist takes part in local and national exhibitions: after having exhibited at the Hôtel du Département, he made a name for himself by enlivening the Jardin du Palais Royal in Paris with his works. Béatrice Begon and Pierre Berger have opened Un Atelier en ville together. Two spaces are mixed in this place where imagination is boiling. In the store area, you can discover the upcycling wonders of the two creators: decorations and lighting made from natural materials by Béatrice and sculptures and jewelry created from old cutlery or kitchen utensils by Pierre. In his workshop in the middle of the Thiers forest, Jean-Michel is a true jack-of-all-trades. He makes all kinds of objects to decorate your home. You'll find sculptures to suit all tastes, as well as everyday objects: teapots, vases, jugs... Monsieur Raffal lets his imagination run wild. Each model is unique. Georges and Marie-Paule Grangé create beautiful decorative objects in stoneware, enamelled lava, raku for some 1 years… Demonstrations of their potter's work take place 1,50 day a week during the February and summer holidays - on registration, €.

Bernard Constantin produces sumptuous enamels on lava all year round. He uses lava from the nearby Grands Moulins quarry on the Capucin massif. Its beautiful light-gray color, with flecks of sanidine, makes it a magnificent raw material, which the artist first reshapes with a special hammer and chisel. His creations are then fired in a kiln at over 980°C. This local artist, who has lived here since 1983, creates sumptuous abstract or figurative compositions. Bernard also works to order.

The association Pro Lave gathers professionals of the stone trades. It has opened a large space for the arts of Volvic stone, which plays the role of both store and art gallery. Caroline Cuer put her creative talents to good use during periods of confinement. Sharing her creations on social networks, she quickly found an audience. The craze was such that she took the plunge and opened a boutique-workshop in the heart of the Plateau Central. The tone is set by the neat, colorful window that invites you to enter and discover her world and her creations, as well as those of some twenty local designers. Caroline also runs creative workshops and can take charge of decorating your events.

Philippe Allemand first came into the spotlight when he was commissioned to restore the interiors of the legendary Orient-Express carriages. Alongside the restoration work, the team of master craftsman cabinetmakers and markers creates superb pieces of furniture and interior design projects. The workshops now occupy a vast 800^m2 space. Its registration as a Living Heritage Company in 2015 is a further guarantee of excellence.

Here, enamelled lava is worked in a contemporary spirit. All types of creations come out of the workshops: paintings, funeral plaques, decorations...
