Read moreBernard Constantin produces sumptuous enamels on lava all year round. He uses lava from the nearby Grands Moulins quarry on the Capucin massif. Its beautiful light-gray color, with flecks of sanidine, makes it a magnificent raw material, which the artist first reshapes with a special hammer and chisel. His creations are then fired in a kiln at over 980°C. This local artist, who has lived here since 1983, creates sumptuous abstract or figurative compositions. Bernard also works to order.
