Read moreThe Station station is the highest in the Massif Central at 1 350 m above sea level, located at the foot of Mount Mezenc (1 753 m) and Mount Alambre (1 691 m), it is part of the northern domain of Mezenc. The 70 km of the Nordic domain will delight the amateurs of alpine skiing, with 5 ski lifts and 1 babyski, 4 green tracks, 2 blue, 1 red, 1 black and 1 snow garden with snow and 50 km of ski slopes from the bottom of the forest house. Tracing is carried out for alternative skiing and skating. The large spaces of the Mezenc are suitable for snow snowshoe rides with 4 marked circuits or 15,5 km, or traîneaux dogs around Rock-pie. Over 1 500 m, the conditions are met for the practice of snowkite, for lovers of new sensations on the snow. The area of initiation and the luge space are located at the start of the tracks. Snow-controlled activities of a monitor or accompanist of the association Mezenc'Impulse are also proposed, and each will find its rhythm and level of practice. Every winter, several demonstrations animate the station.

VIA FERRATA
Read moreThe Rochers de la Miramande offer a sublime setting for Via Ferrata enthusiasts, with exceptional views over the Allier gorges. Between walking and climbing, three routes are available, two relatively accessible (the green and red) and one more difficult (the black). These routes, with their south-facing exposure, involve more climbing on rock than on rungs. Each route takes just under two hours. To reach the site, follow the signs after passing through Saint-Jean-Lachalm.
SITE D'ESCALADE DES ROCHES
Read moreThis climbing site is undoubtedly one of the most popular in the Haute-Loire, not least because of the diversity of its walls and its easy accessibility. After a 10-minute walk, you'll reach the site, which offers no fewer than 49 routes. A dedicated beginners' area is also available. The other routes are suitable for all climbing enthusiasts, the longest stretching for around 30 meters. From the summits, you can enjoy views of Mont Mézenc.

Read moreThe journey rises along this volcanic fireplace, offering beautiful views over the surrounding landforms. Information panels help to understand the formation of these rocky peaks. The steep climb is rewarded by the view since the summit. Orientation tables will tell you the other summits to see. Once down, you can enjoy a swim in the lake of Bouchet, of volcanic origin as well. If you want to walk by foot, you need an extra 45 minutes.
