This is the great rendez-vous of the whirlpool fanatics who meet each year in the courtyard of the abbey, the festival's historic site. It's the meeting point for the festival makers, the public, volunteers and trainees, and you can find food, info, ticketing and products in the shop. The scene of the village hosts live concerts every day, and the young public is not forgotten, while the Saint-Théofrède church with ideal acoustics is perfect for chamber music training and large staff (orchestras, large ensembles of copper). Avenue Laurent-Eynac, La Brass Room hosts concerts, jam-sessions every night at 11:00 p. m. It is the rendez-vous of improvisers who play in the true spirit of a jazz club.

This race was called the Auvergne Extreme. But after the change of the organizing team, it became the Vellav'Extreme in 2018. It is much more than a race because there is no stopwatch. Vellav'Extreme relies more on a festive spirit than on sportsmanship, even if it still requires a minimum of training to overcome the obstacles scattered over two 8 and 13 kilometre long courses. Climbing, swimming, sliding, rolling in the mud, the participants have a field day and are rewarded at each stop at the various refuelling points with a tasting of local products: sausages, cheeses etc. And after the race, for those who still have some energy left, the organization thought of a dance party.

Unity is strength, we keep saying. Proof of this is. Along rue Vibert in Le Puy-en-Velay, very close to Place du Breuil, four merchants have decided to join forces to create Les Vibérations in each summer season. Yann from the beer bar Le Black Pearl, Alexis from the restaurant Maki Nova, Vincent from the wine and tapas bar Camino des goulots and Younes from the restaurant Kebab Imma have come up with a project to liven up their street in good weather. This rue Vibert, which is normally crossed by cars, becomes a pedestrian street every Friday and Saturday evening, from June to September. Thus the terraces of the four merchants are expanding, but also and above all a space is reserved for local music groups. In 2018, 24 concert evenings were organized for the Vibrations. A great initiative therefore, each year rewarded by an ever-increasing number of visitors. In bars and restaurants, it is advisable to book your table.

The Buena Onda Festival is an annual event held in Sanssac-l'Église. Now in its 6th year, the festival offers a varied program including sports tournaments, a market, entertainment, a bar and a snack bar. The atmosphere is friendly and family-oriented, bringing together three generations of Altiligériens. Festival-goers can enjoy concerts, poetry and rap, as well as a variety of activities on site. The team of volunteers works hard to prepare a festive and welcoming venue, and also ensures the safety of participants. The Buena Onda Festival is a not-to-be-missed event for all those who want to spend a good time with family and friends in a warm atmosphere.
