Opened in 2013 by Mike and Peter, originally from England and Ireland respectively, this excellent vegetarian restaurant uses only local produce from Mayan communities. Delicious and fresh, the cuisine is varied: you'll find everything from burritos and pizzas to local cheese served with mango chutney. Don't miss the two incredible desserts: a chocolate-covered peanut butter cookie, and a chocolate and cardamom brownie. Upstairs, tables overlook the lake.

Note that this coffee restaurant is integrated into a non-profit project. In addition to promoting mam culture among tourists, it provides employment opportunities for people in the region. Profits are redistributed to families in order to support children's health and education.

You don't go to this Italian-inspired restaurant for the warmth of the welcome, but for its good pasta and pizza. There is lasagna, excellent spaghetti with homemade pesto, or seafood, and medium and large pizzas ranging from Regina to three cheeses. Also on the menu: sandwiches, hamburgers, and dishes such as chicken Alfredo sauce and garlic shrimp. Be careful, the portions are rather small, so bring a dessert. The establishment serves gourmet sweet crepes.
