On February 2in Chiantla, the faithful flock to give thanks to the Virgen de la Candelaría, renowned for her miraculous healing powers. This statuette of the Virgin, with its long embossed silver mantle, comes from the region's mines and is depicted on a superb double-columned altarpiece, two of which are twisted, just behind the altar of this old church founded in 1530 by the Dominicans.

Patronal festival in honor of Saint Paul, held every year between January 23 and 25, with the main day being the 25th, celebrating the apostle's conversion to Christianity. Folk dances are organized throughout the festivities.

Patron saint's day from August 8 to 11. On the 10th, the main day, there are folk dances (Conquista, Palo Volador, Venados...).

Religious festival held every year in November between the 22nd and 26th, with the main day being the 25th, punctuated by "el Torito" and "los Venados" folk dances.

An annual religious festival honoring our good King Saint Louis. King Louis IX of France, better known as King Saint Louis, canonized in 1297, is venerated every year from August 22 to 25 in Salcaja.

Patronal festival held every year in honor of the archangel St. Michael, patron saint of the town (songs and folklore performances by the Pascarines and the Mejicanos).

A working party dedicated to the Saint James the Apostolic Party. On the day of the celebration of the Saint, on 1 August, processions and dances were held, including the Vaqueros, the Conquista, the Moros del Tún. Festival also followed in San Cristóbal Totonicapán.

Patron saint's day in honor of Saint Helen of the Cross. Cultural events include the famous folk dances of Los Diablos, Convite, Emascarados and the famous Conquista.

Patron saint's day in honor of Saint James the Apostolic. On the 25th, the main day of the festivities, you can attend the village's religious and folkloric events: mass, processions, dances (la Conquista, los Toritos, los Mejicanos). These festivities provide an opportunity to appreciate the magnificent ceremonial dress of the Tzutuhiles, including the famous headdress worn by the women.

Patron saint's day in honor of Saint Peter the Apostolic. Folkloric events include the Conquista and Mejicanos dances.

Musicians, writers and painters present songs, poems and paintings. The winners have been honoured in the municipal theater since 1916. The Parque Centroaméricano and the city's various public and religious buildings are the setting for colorful exhibitions and events. Numerous artistic and cultural events accompany the Floral Games.

This festival takes place every year in July, between the 12th and 18th (the main day is the 16th), in honor of the Virgin del Carmen. It is the occasion for numerous cultural events, including the Los Moros folk dance and sporting competitions.
