Mr. Poudanson, at the origin of the company, worked for years to train the confectioners of the Meert house in Lille, as well as three of his sons who worked there until their retirement. During half a century, the nougatery continues to turn, with ups and downs, and tasty culinary inventions as the nougat without almond and "the cream of nougat"! But in the years 1980, the wind turns and the activity beats of the wing. It is thanks to the resumption by the company Afchain in 2011, that the confectionery finds its letters of nobility. The workshop is then put in the standards and the adjoining house is renovated. Today, the nougat factory opens its doors to the public. Groups of visitors are welcomed on the first floor, companies on the second floor, for seminars with a guided tour.

Products: Except for the almonds, all the products used to make the confectionery are local: the eggs come from Arras, the sugar from Thumeries, the glucose syrup from Lestrem. The cooking is traditional and in copper cauldrons.
