The estate covers 19.5 hectares, including 18 hectares of Cabernet Franc, plus half a hectare of Chenin. The domain benefits from the Organic Agriculture appellation. In this domain, you will find great wines, such as Les Puys, Les Cinq Pères, Le Clos de la Roche or Les Galuches... Wines of pleasure and ageing with aromas of wild strawberry or violet. Nearly 150 winegrowers have joined together in a cooperative to bring their vineyards to life. A historical place where wines and products from the Loire Valley are honored. Vino Valley and its 250 or so products, exclusively from the Loire Valley, have set up shop in a former wine-making cellar, preserving the rails that were used to transport bottles and barrels. To help you make up your mind, the team will have you taste the star bottles at the bar, and you will be able to accompany them with a delicious wine list. Founded in 1842, the Duchess Anne is a gourmet institution, for the fine mouths of Saumur and Clisson. In a soft and refined setting, in a vintage 19th century style, the small tea room, with its modest but delicate atmosphere, often sees its tables taken over by the people of Saumur, so well suited is it to the delight of a sweet break, such as a pastry or homemade chocolate. For 25 years, the Godineau family has been in charge; in 2010, the parents left the keys to the house to their son, François, and his wife, Céline. In this way, the tradition is perpetuated, while quality is always present. It was in 1851 that Etienne Bouvet founded with Célestine Ladubay the exceptional House that bears their names. Today, the House has an elegant collection of "Brut de Loire" with its vintage vintages Saphir, Trésor, Instinct; a unique know-how in the art of blending and vinification of Chenin and Chardonnay grapes. On foot or by vintage bicycle, you will discover the cellars, the sunken cathedral, the heritage visit with the label library, the archive room, the 19th century theatre. New in 2021, the Collection Hippomobile de Saumur.
