An old bike to repair? Want to start cycling but the equipment is not necessarily in the garage? Exit the existential questions with the self-repair workshop Un guidon dans la tête. Created by the association Tous deux roues, this place allows you to repair and maintain your bike with, if necessary, the technical support of an employee or a volunteer. All the tools necessary for the operations are available on the spot. In the "parts room", you can find old or new parts to make repairs. For a friendly learning experience, participate in the "dismantling apéros", one Wednesday per month. These workshops are open to beginners and experts alike.

There is no such thing as a farm in the heart of the city? Of course it does! Just come to Clermont-Ferrand to discover the urban farm. Here we cultivate, garden and vegetable garden (fruits, vegetables, aromatic plants...), according to the principles of permaculture and agroecology. This farm is a real educational and experimental place. Do you have a green thumb? Are you interested in gardening? The farm works with the participation of volunteers. So why not you? This is an opportunity to get involved and participate in the evolution of the urban farm.

Here is the public authority that revalorizes your garbage! Its mission is to transform waste in the form of recycling or energy production. Its website indicates how to get a composter, a Stop-pub sticker... Valtom is also dedicated to raising awareness to reduce our waste. It opens its doors from time to time to visit its sites: the Vernea incinerator refurbished in 2014, the sorting center Echalier or Puy Long, a hill where non-hazardous and non-recyclable waste is stored. We strongly advise you to visit it!

Every year, more than 20,000 people are welcomed by Secours populaire français in the Puy-de-Dôme department. Emergency aid, food parcels, second-hand clothes, homework help, workshops (cooking, sophrology, gym, theatre), legal aid, support for employment, access to culture, sports activities, holidays... Secours Pop" implements numerous actions for adults, children, parents and families.

Secours Catholique was founded more than 70 years ago at the national level. It provides material and food aid to disadvantaged people. It helps modest families to go on vacation and provides emergency support. Many activities are organized. It is also a place of listening, which participates in campaigns to bring people together, beyond their ethnic and religious affiliation.
Secours Catholique functions essentially thanks to volunteers. There are nearly 850 volunteers in the Cantal/Puy-de-Dôme delegation, which is not necessarily enough to ensure the various activities offered. The structure is always looking for volunteers.

Specialized in food aid, the departmental headquarters of the Restos du coeur also offers workshops for its beneficiaries: integration workcamps to find a job, but also fight against illiteracy, hairdressing, sewing, computers, self-esteem... The structure has set up personalized accompaniment for access to housing, to various rights, to budgeting, to obtaining a microcredit... These missions are carried out thanks to more than 800 volunteers. To help the more than 6,000 families welcomed each year by the Restos du coeur 63, you can join the team of volunteers, support the association financially or participate in the annual collections.

Vegetable peelings, egg shells... what to do with this waste when you live in the city center and do not have a garden? Terra Preta has answered this question by setting up the Archipel des Salins, a bio-waste collection site open to individuals and professionals. This waste is then transformed into compost, which feeds the green space created on site. Every week, many workshops are offered, such as learning different sowing techniques or learning how to make cuttings, basketry, recognizing the animals present in the gardens... Terra Preta has also set up a woodworking workshop.

Inserfac has been present in the department since 1991. It is a learning company with a sense of solidarity and eco-responsibility, located in Clermont-Ferrand, Riom and Thiers. It offers integration courses for people in difficulty, through different workshops and integration sites: Inserfac cleanliness, Autour du costume which manages 30,000 pieces of costumes, Art et Nature, Etat d'esprit, Atelier le Thiers, Riom, Limagne et volcans, Autour du livre, plastification and encoding of books for libraries and finally the Ironing Workshop. These workshops allow for the training of employees. No less than 120 people are accompanied towards employment, supervised by a team of professionals.

For all questions concerning housing, insurance, health, telephone contracts, the environment..., the association Consommation logement et cadre de vie is there to answer you. This national association is independent. It is present in the Puy-de-Dôme since 1975. It accompanies the consumers and the users in order to enable them to solve the various conflicts encountered in everyday life, and also to assert their rights. There are permanent offices every week, including one in Issoire on Tuesdays.

ANEF is an association whose objective is to help the most disadvantaged and to fight against exclusion. It focuses its activities on two main areas: its accommodation and housing centre includes a shelter and social reintegration centre, social assistance for returning to housing, support for returning to work, and a local public health reception service. Its second area of activity focuses on child protection, with educational assistance and reception in educational homes. Social workers, psychologists, nurses, doctors: nearly 180 experienced professionals work for the integration of the public supported by ANEF.

The Association Nationale Etudes et Chantiers works closely with regional associations to develop volunteer projects in France and abroad. Gathered within ANEC, these associations organize workshops based on the values of sharing, solidarity and respect for differences.

What does ils  offer?International work camps allow volunteers - from the age of 14 - to work in favour of local development and the general interest. They concern the development of natural areas and the restoration of heritage and aim to improve the living conditions of local populations (building a village's bread oven, cleaning the banks of a river, organizing a festival, creating activities...).

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Romania... and the list is still long. It should not be forgotten that ANEC also offers projects in France (Ile-de-France, Grand Est, Midi-Pyrénées and Rhône-Alpes, Auvergne, etc.).

Prices and conditions. No special qualifications. Be between 14 and 17 years old for teenagers and between 18 and 25 years old for adults (17 years old with parental authorization and first experience in teenagers' workcamps). Under the aegis of the European Union, young people aged 18 to 25 can participate in European Voluntary Service (EVS) or Civic Service, for a period of 6 months to 1 year, particularly in Asia.

Joining a soccer club, a leisure center or a creative workshop is not always easy when you're disabled, chronically ill, isolated or reintegrated into society. The Dahlir association works for these people, at their request, within the framework of fully personalized support. The aim: inclusion through leisure, because leisure brings a certain freedom that allows people to blossom. How does it work? The process is structured: a meeting with the person to identify his or her desires, assistance in finding a structure, verification that the right conditions have been met and follow-up on integration.

A diagnosis, a repair and you leave with an object as good as new. That's what Repair Café is all about: extending the life of everyday objects instead of throwing them away. To achieve this, volunteers work during the workshops. More than just a simple repair, this is also a time for sharing and learning techniques. 25 Gisèle Halimi is a unique place in France dedicated to welcoming and supporting women. Here, women can find listening and advice, as well as a place to relax and recharge their batteries. Three associations are permanently present: CIDFF63, Planning Familial 63 and AVEC-France Victimes 63. On-site workshops and other services include family mediation, a social worker, a family lawyer and legal assistance. The centre is open to all women and girls, whatever their needs or path in life.
