Valtom is also dedicated to raising awareness of the need to reduce waste. It opens its doors from time to time for visits to its sites: the Vernea incinerator, refurbished in 2014, the Echalier sorting center and Puy Long, where non-hazardous and non-recyclable waste is stored.
