Catherine and Dider Rateau have this discreet semi-gastronomic restaurant, a little away from the city centre. The terrace with its wooden canopy and the dining room have been renovated. The whole is pretty. The tables are skilfully arranged in a warm room. The ceiling, pine panelled gives a mountain touch, but walls, drapes and tablecloths have a lot of class. The decor is sober and we feel good, sitting on sturdy chairs of straw. We enjoyed the careful cuisine. Impeccable service. A very recommendable address!

On the menu: a varied menu and a traditional cuisine served continuously. You will appreciate the quality of the burger breads from David Bory, a well-known baker from the Couramiauds. The cheese comes from the farm of the Golden Horn of Saint-Paul-en-Jarez. Homemade, the dishes are served all year round, such as salads, sauerkraut or mussels and chips. The plates are copious, the prices are correct, the service is fast and smiling. The large terrace will delight guests on sunny days. Booking recommended.

New address at Saint-Chamond, Monte-Cristo is to discover, offering good brasserie style cuisine at affordable prices. You can enjoy the large terrace on Liberty square, where you can enjoy lunch or dinner when the beautiful days are felt. On the menu, six varieties of salads, large or small, a nice choice of meat - we particularly appreciated the beef jelly, accompanied by seasonal vegetables, as well as the homemade hamburger.
