After creating The Roof in 2013, Mélanie Coyne and Benoît Lacroix are at the helm of Urban Cabins. This playful space is accessible to the greatest number: those who want to work, eat, garden... This association never ceases to spice up the lives of the people of La Rochelle! Installed in the Rompsay district, it makes the people of La Rochelle dance to the frenzied rhythm of salsa and Caribbean dances. And it has been going on for 15 years now! The philosophy of this association? To make dancing a real moment of sharing and pleasure! The class schedules change according to your level, whether you are a beginner or an expert. This year the association is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the famous "Salsa en la Playa" festival which takes place on the island of Ré.

This year, the Conservatoire de Musique et de Danse celebrates its sixtieth anniversary. A state-approved institution, it has over 1,000 students, 51 teachers and 11 community and municipal schools throughout the region. A place of artistic life where quality and pleasure go hand in hand, it enables students to develop both artistically and personally by learning to play, dance and sing together. Founded in 1997, it comprises two studios and an entrance hall where you can watch the dancers evolve. If you'd like to learn how to cook, this is the place to do it. Located just a stone's throw from the town center, close to the Bassin des Chalutiers, it is the brainchild of Grégory Coutanceau. People come here to share a convivial moment with the chefs and learn the techniques and secrets to improve their skills. Different workshops are offered, so that everyone can find the one that suits their tastes. "Le plat est prêt", a one-hour class to learn how to make a dish for two (pollack, chicken breast curry, duck aiguillettes), "Secrets de chefs", 1h30 to learn all the chef's tricks and secrets around a theme, from cooking to dressing and seasoning (meat tartars and carpaccio, ballottines, risotto in two versions), or "Signature Grégory Coutanceau" to discover his finest recipes. And let's not forget the children's workshops with "Les p'tits cuistos" to help them discover textures, smells and aromas, and the inevitable pastry classes to learn how to prepare desserts with rigor and creativity.

Poney Atlantic Loisirs Mireuil celebrated its 30th anniversary last year! Located in the Mireuil district, it offers introductory riding lessons for children and adults alike. Close to the ring road, cycle path and allotment gardens, the site is a paradise for equines. Children can enjoy riding ponies in complete safety, thanks to instructors holding the Brevet d'Etat de Saut d'Obstacles. The association has 3 arenas, a riding arena and a clubhouse. It's the ideal place to learn to ride, from the age of 4, or to take part in a training course.

This easily accessible gym is located in the commercial area of Lagord. The large car park makes parking easy and the opening hours - particularly wide - allow you to come and train at the time of your choice. This adventure park, located in the immediate vicinity of La Rochelle, aims to give everyone access to a wide range of activities. Stéven created this structure to be accessible to as many people as possible, accompanied by Laurent, who wanted to emphasize emotions. And there are plenty of them! Disabled and able-bodied visitors alike can enjoy a wide range of activities in this large space, including accrobranche (bridge, footbridge, night-time area) for children aged 6 and over; rock climbing on a 70 m² freeform wall and an area with over 20 routes; and the caving area, ideal for testing out new sensations, with 100 m of galleries! A snack area is also available.

Laurent Camus is a boat school instructor in La Rochelle. A sailing enthusiast from an early age, he teaches sailing in a simple and accessible way. His aim is to pass on his technical knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere of discovery. He adapts his sailing sessions to the level of his trainees, and never pushes when conditions at sea become difficult. To guarantee a quality service, he limits the number of trainees on board. His teaching experience enables him to establish a calm dialogue with his students and organize life on board so that they feel comfortable and confident.

Seville was never so close to La Rochelle. For several years the flamenco has had its academy led by a Andalusian, which has dance in the skin. Carmen traveled through this music learning with the greatest masters (Manola, Debla) and occurring worldwide: Japan, Seville, Stuttgart… A renowned choreographer, she chose to open this school in La Rochelle to make known all the richness of the flamenco, which is for her "a very deep way of being in life, to tamper with it, to face it without fear." All courses are provided, from its simple initiation to the most technical level and to the guitar courses.
