It's a little by chance that we drove the door of this small facility, which is a anonymous outside. Good draw! The pleasure of cooking from a patronne to the furnaces and having inherited the good gestures and the good recetttes of his father. With creativity in addition to tradition, this will delight gourmets. Do not loupez the suggestions of the table that reflect either the season or the desire to work any product. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

For ages, the rue du Président has been known for its good lunches. Especially at lunchtime, on the street... well, on the terrace, on the pedestrian street. Taking over from an emblematic address, Mel' has done everything to make you feel at home. The name is just a play on words because you are not asked to bring your napkin ring. Mel offers a short menu of small, reassuring dishes, based on fresh produce: hot goat's cheese toast, mixed salads, sandwiches. Simple dishes that appeal to everyone, including children.

La Gueule du Loup is not a pirouette by the owner to indicate that the customer has stumbled upon the wrong address. The name simply refers to the eponymous wood that borders Malonne. Jean-Luc Fautré offers a nice appetite suppressant. You can find French fries, but also sandwiches and (small) meals: salads, homemade American, vol-au-vent, chicory au gratin, etc. The must is the Queen, a hamburger-style bun with just about everything you can imagine. In autumn, the Savoyard is a killer. Ice cream and homemade pastries.

Les Cousines is a vintage-looking restaurant run by two cousins who form an impressive duo. It opened on the banks of the Meuse in March 2020. Their efficient and simple cuisine (hot or cold sandwiches, dumplings, pancakes, ice creams...) does not hide a warm welcome and an ideal location on the banks of the Meuse, conducive to the spirit's stroll. It is an ideal place to put down your hiking bag or to get off your bike; it is also a strategic point on a day of visit to the famous nearby Gardens. At the foot of the cable car leading up to the fortifications, this restaurant could easily be a tourist trap... but it's not! In fact, the chef had a distinguished gastronomic career before taking over this local institution. Dinant locals and strollers alike can be found here, and the menu rotates between classic dishes and those from the Haute Meuse region. Petits-gris de Warnant, trout from the Leffe stream, regional cured meats, locally-raised meat, or the sweetbreads with morel mushrooms that are the pride of the house.

Be Belge is a small, recently relocated restaurant in a leafy corner of Namur, with a short menu that anticipates the seasons. Catherine and Axel do their name proud with dishes that feature local ingredients... but not only. Fish from the North Sea coexist with farmhouse pork with Bister mustard, game in season, and strawberries and chocolate are the special guests for dessert. Axel Devaux is a graduate of the Namur hotel school. His menu is bimonthly and features home-made products.

L'Entité is the kind of address you feel you've always known. Unchanging, with its terrace in front, from which you can watch the passing cars and pedestrians while being seen, you can enjoy a beer, a coffee, a croque or a dish of the day. The clientele? A flock of regulars either leaning against the counter, or always at the same little marble and wrought-iron table. The bulk of the clientele are students and staff from the nearby university. Its ideal location close to the RAVeL and Louise Marie Park attracts many customers.

This little café in the old town of Namur opens its doors to customers in the morning for breakfast. No endless list of lattes or frappiatti, just good coffee from Delahaut, Namur's historic roasting house. At Café Fleuri, everything is homemade: the toast, the pancakes... and you're welcomed like a regular. Take a seat by the window, around a white marble table to watch the onlookers, or in the back, to scrutinize the details of a wallpaper... that's bound to be flowery!

This young restaurant (opening in 2019) is headed by a young chef, 30-year-old Maxime Van Bellingen. A young team is on hand to serve you in a beautiful dining room that's both rustic with its wooden furniture and contemporary with its exposed brick walls. Maxime's background is in fish, and it shows! He pays great attention to seafood. Everything is extra fresh, in season, local whenever possible, and the dishes are a feast for the eyes and taste buds. A breath of fresh air on the local culinary scene!

If you are passing between Florenville and Etalle, make a stop at this very nice burger bar, installed in the old station of Sainte-Marie-sur-Semois. The menu (burgers based on local products, fries and beers) is well stocked with, among others, a Trappist burger where Orval cheese is honored, the peasant with Ardenne ham or the Franky and its secret sauce. So good that Franky has received several awards. Several local beers are proposed, notably those of the Clochette brewery, very close to the establishment.

Small family establishment with a simple but efficient kitchen. The dishes, as the name of the restaurant indicates, are inspired by Mediterranean and Greek cuisine. Calamari, cod croquettes, Smyrna dumplings... the portions are generous and the service pleasant. The boss, always ready to listen, will be able to guide a clientele of novice gourmets. The reduced menu guarantees the freshness of only seasonal products and compositions according to the chef's mood. However, we regret the small size of the place during busy periods (remember to book).

The outside environment is more Mirafiori than Amalfi. Nevertheless, the stop is a must for lovers of hearty and well brought Italian food. Here the dough of the pizzas is perfect and therefore the pizza is wonderful! As for the rest, Italian specialities rub shoulders with our Franco-Belgian gastronomy with some home cooking dishes such as tortellini with brodo, penne al forno or the Lombard picatta. But what would Don Dino be without his joker of a boss who, with his baritone voice, sings with talent?

The Peanut's is a resto-bar which emphasizes a good reception rather personalized and smiling. The ideal place for a meal, for an aperitif or for both at the same time! A subdued and relaxed atmosphere, a wooded and warm decoration will accompany the customers throughout their passage in the establishment, until late in the night. The kitchen is open for lunch and dinner and the specialties of the house are the penne scampi tartuffata and the Italian beef steak. For the rest, a nice list of beers from home and abroad.
