GARE DU BUISSON

It was built in 1863 by the Compagnie du chemin de fer de Paris à Orléans (PO). It is a passenger station of the TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine network, served by regional express trains. 45 minutes are needed between Le Buisson and Périgueux with two stops, one at Le Bugue, the other at Eyzies-de-Tayac Sireuil. It takes 30 minutes between Sarlat and Le Buisson.

On the route of the railway line, we follow the Dordogne valley and we pass at the foot of the most beautiful castles of the area, Castelnaud, Beynac, the Milandes. There was once a gastronomic train that linked Bergerac and Sarlat and allowed you to enjoy the 69 km journey while admiring the landscape and savouring the local gastronomy, a project that should be revived.
Currently, it takes 2h10 between Sarlat and Bordeaux, there are 6 trains each day.
