Le Moulin is a former neighbourhood cinema and theatre, formerly known as the "Moulin bleu", not far from the enormous Dome. On the Quai Rive-Neuve proudly stands the Théâtre de La Criée, the national theater housed in Marseille's former fish market. A former meeting place for fishermen and fishmongers, it is now a mythical cultural meeting place under the sensitive, modern direction of Macha Makeïeff since 2011. Active since the seventeenth century, among the oldest theatres in the city, this small "Italian-style" theatre (with four orders of superimposed boxes) is dedicated to the great theatrical writer Carlo Goldoni who directed it from 1752 to 1761. A vintage decoration, a relaxed atmosphere that fits well with the Cours Julien district, people come here to taste delicious home-made cocktails, punches, a selection of craft beers or organic wines. A few small plates to go with it all and you're off to a great start to the evening. There is no doubt that at La Soifferie, it will not only be a question of thirst but also of moments of life.

This chain appeared in 2019 and had some setbacks before finally opening in a brand new location near Amur Timur Square. A good place to stop during a visit of the city in front of a good coffee or a nice pastry. There is a good choice, the products are good and the service is warm and we appreciate the comfortable sofas and the space. We find all the quality of service and welcome that characterized the first Black Bear shops: a rarity in Uzbekistan. A second address has opened at 46 Shota Roustavéli street.

Hidden in a former Lebanese house, Zinc opened in 1997. A place of experience and a relaxed atmosphere, Zinc is a high-end bar. The terrace is ideal for a drink and start the evening. A safe address whose longevity is the best proof of quality.

Located between Monnot streets and Lebanon, Time Out is a unique address. Discreet entrance for these two establishments which result in a charming terrace, a large living room on the first floor in a former Lebanese house and a vaulted cellar on the ground floor. You can eat, drink, listen to jazz and chat. We would think at home. Cosy, quiet and intimate.

It's not just a coffee, but a coffee shop. But it is undoubtedly the smallest sign in downtown and even Beirut: 1,8 m ² surface. It deserves a detour. Opened since June 2001, 3 Ezz Café has found its clientele with local employees and even senior officials of the ESCWA, a United Nations institution located next door. Bowls, salads, healthy sandwiches, it's well done and totally in tune with the times. An address to discover and to adopt without delay. The only regret is that the atmosphere is a bit too "influencer" of the clientele, more busy taking pictures than having a good time.
