To encourage peasants to come and settle in his country house, Sicard d'Alaman, knight and lord of Saint-Sulpice, sent his consuls to the countryside to shout that a great lord was building a town, distributing plots of building land and plots of land and ensuring the safety of the inhabitants inside the fortifications.
