LE BATEAU PHARE

Cutlery

This store offers one of the most beautiful windows in Saint-Martin-de-Ré. To find it, you need a time away from the harbor and borrow a pretty venelle leading to the church. Knives, carefully chosen by Luc de la Tranchade, are exposed to all, local as tourists. What a pleasure to enter this old pharmacy with its old apothecary bootstrays always installed on the shelves. A real passion, the owner has been highlighting some of the biggest French brands, but also his own production, for over a quarter century. There are also many objects related to the sea.

COUTELLERIE LE MANUCHARD

Cutlery

Christian Baudinière took over the manufacture of "Châtellerault" knives and created the Manuchard (a reference to the workers at the town's Manufacture d'armes). Passionate about blades from an early age, he took over the family armory before setting up his own cutlery boutique in 2015. Handles in olive wood, walnut, juniper, buffalo horn, ram horn... there's no shortage of choice. Design, manufacture, engraving, maintenance, sharpening, the store offers a wide range of services and many other blades for hunting, the table or the kitchen.
