The practice of water skiing is authorized from June to September on the so-called «Châteaucourt» area, a zone under the responsibility of the Ski Club Vassivière whose activities focus mainly on leisure. Having obtained the FFSN's "Leisure" label, this club offers permission to navigate and ski in this area (memberships and pontoons), as well as skiing and buoys tours, as well as initiation and development in water skiing from 3 years (baby skiing). He also organizes an annual competition on the first weekend of September.

The ski area of the plateau de Gentioux is located at an average altitude of 900 m. It includes nearly 90 km of ski slopes. Access to the area is free and the tracks are made as far as possible by the snowmobile of the Pigerolles cross-country skiing association. If you don't have your own equipment, you can also rent skis, boots, snowshoes and sledges from the organization. It is necessary to reserve them.
