The town of Limoges has recently had its aquatic centre. Inaugurated with great pomp in January 2015, this 2 500 m ² space is located in Esther's area, not far from the cinema. With a surface area of 410 ha, the lake of Neuvic is fed by the stream of the same name which has its source on the plateau of Millevaches. This aquatic complex of five pools (two of which are outdoor) invites you to enjoy water in all its forms: water jets, pools, whirlpools, massage bench, bubble plate, water slide... Covering an area of 42 ha, this artificial lake was put into water in 1984, fed by the Farges stream. Swimming is supervised in summer. The leisure centre offers a number of nautical activities: sailing, windsurfing, rowing, canoeing, kayaking, children's playground, rental of dinghies, pedal boats, rowing boats. Fishermen will settle on the beaches to tease trout, roach and carp. The four-kilometre trail that borders the lake is passable on foot or by ATV. An artificial water reservoir on the Vézère river, the 100-hectare, 25-metre-deep lake has been awarded the "European Blue Flag" label thanks to the efforts made in environmental matters. In an exceptional setting with a variety of meadows, wooded areas and rocky walls, the "nature sports resort" offers a wide range of seasonal activities: canoeing, rafting (on request outside the summer), pedal boat hire, mountain bike hire and trekking, with the possibility of introductory courses without accommodation. The aqua-recreational center is composed of indoor and outdoor recreational and sports areas designed for the whole family. Indoors, swimmers have access to a 25 m sports pool and a sauna-hammam area. For free swimming and leisure activities, head for the 200 m² play pool with its massaging jets. During the summer season, a whole park of aquatic games unfolds: 25 m pool, water games, pool with slide, playground, beach volleyball court, ping-pong tables..

A pond that alone warrants a visit, and an after-midi ! This pond at 12 ha offers supervised swimming in the summer and the after-midi ! It has been fitted out, you will find diving boards, pedal boat rentals, as well as the possibility to practice windsurfing and even pêche ! Many games have been provided for children, who will also be able to go for a pony ride.

Three important poles were built around the lake. In Santrop, it is the reception and entrance door of the lake. Here you find the house of the park, a pole of the community Tourist Office of Gartempe Saint-Pardoux. In Chabannes it is rather the reception of young people and groups. As for the Site site, it is oriented towards the practice of water leisure and the reception of tourist clients in residence.

The Aquarécréatif centre is part of the tourist complex of Bort-les-Orgues Lake and allows access to the pleasures of water when you stay at the camping des Aubazines. For bathing: a basin heated to 26 degrees with a depth of up to 1 m 20 (nage, hyrdomassantes benches, brumisateurs) a paddling pool right next to the children and green palge facing the lake. For relaxation: A solarium terrace all around with deckchairs and parasols as well as a whirlpool bath. From 12 a. m. to 18 p. m., a snack offers drinks and fast food.

This inflatable water park on the 99-hectare Lac de Treignac, which has been awarded the Pavillon Bleu label, covers over 800 m². A summer afternoon paradise for all ages 6 and up. Swimmers must be able to swim, and children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. On the program: catapults, trampolines, floating cages, obstacle mats, floating bananas, giant towers with slides... Teens love it, little ones love it, and parents love it too! An exclusive place to relax: located between Guéret and the Massif Forestier de Chabrières, this area offers a supervised beach in summer, walks around the lake, as well as physical and sporting activities for young and old, such as windsurfing, pedal boats and more. Come and relive the adventure of the "gabariers" on a tour of the Dordogne gorges above Argentat. Guided tours are offered Monday to Saturday at 3pm from May to October. Themed walks with an actor are also organized for the public, in July and August only. A word of advice: bring a hat and a bottle of water for the walk. The lake's mountain bike base is the starting point for five circuits. The most difficult is Mont Gargan (30 km), and the easiest is La Villetelle (5 km). At the magnificent Jonas site, fishing enthusiasts stalk predators such as carp, perch, zander and pike. A specially designed station is available for people with reduced mobility. You can also hire pedal boats to explore the 27-hectare pond. Please note, however, that swimming is not permitted. In the absence of swimming in the pond, outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of the bucolic setting and ride their mountain bikes to explore the surrounding area.

The Forgeneuve lake offers water skiing. Whether you prefer classic skiing, wakeboarding, barfooting, mono-skiing or bi-skiing for beginners with a starter at the helm, our instructors are on hand to cater for all levels. They provide personalized instruction, from improvement to mastery, as well as training for competitors. Fun is available from an early age, with baby-ski discovery days for children aged 3 to 10.
