On the Picasso Square, the Tower of Spain hosts a small local archaeological museum. A significant part of the heritage of Vallespir is constantly exposed: funeral ballot, prehistoric pottery, jewelry and a faithful reconstitution of a necropolis and a dolmen. In the reception room, temporary thematic exhibitions present unpublished collections. The Euro-Greek-France cultural association was founded in Montpellier in 1990. It strives to promote Greek culture in all its forms: conferences, books, theatre, cinema, dances, language courses, and an animation within the Greek community. Dance courses take place at La Maison Pour Tous. Another of his actions, more informal and more discreet, concerns the meeting, reception and accompaniment of Greek students who come each year to pursue their studies in Montpellier, but also to their Greek compatriots passing through.

Whether you are young or retired, alone, with family or friends, the Maisons pour tous are places where people can come together, share and enjoy themselves, where culture and entertainment are within everyone's reach. Founded in 1992, the Maison de la Vie associative aims to facilitate the life of associations in the city. It proposes a wide range of services ranging from the free provision of premises - with equipment, video in meeting rooms of 15 to 300 people - legal, financial and technical advice - aid for the creation of associations, making available to the Official Journal, the Lamy association… -, aid for organising events… c it is also this public service which is responsible for organising the associations forum in September, the Associations are taking the steps and publishing the directory of biterroises associations.

Opened since 1969, the Maison des jeunes et de la culture is, as its name does not indicate, open to all. Theatre, dance, music, video, computer science, graphic arts… BÉZIERS de Béziers offers a list of endless workshops for children, teens and adults. If your children stay in Béziers for the holidays, no problem! The DJC organizes activities for 6-16 years, with a leisure centre and internships on various themes. But this house also knows how to studious when necessary. During the year, a volunteer team provides school support to students from the EC 1 to the terminal. A bar - without alcohol, of course! -under the name Baobar, has even been opened to develop a health culture for children and young people from leisure activities.

The premises of the old hospice have been completely renovated and now houses the tourist house, the cultural service, the space of contemporary art, the Maison des Arts, the audiovisual library and the music school. At the heart of this immense building, the Saint-Louis church houses a Cavaillé Coll organ classified as a historic monument. A reflection of the historical and cultural heritage of the region, the house of the Arts, located in the former hospice Saint-Louis, exhibits all the year of local celebrities and artists. At two parts, the Humour Museum is dedicated to the humoriste of the Jacques Lucky country. On the walls are accrochés caricatures, sketches, objects… The regional heritage rooms contain the fauna and flora, the folk arts and traditions, geology, archaeology and a rail museum. In the backyard of the house, a botanical garden in the many plants of the Country of Oc invites to the walk and visit the library. On the ground floor a new space of contemporary art welcomes artists of our time.

The Cebenna centre in the heart of the village in a former hotel of 1889 is a place of exchange and communication both scientific and educational. It is managed by a team of passionate scientists who have joined with specialists in multimedia, education and environment. The Cebenna centre has an auditorium which offers regional documentaries, a library, scientific workshops, exhibition halls… and offers regional films and documentaries, books, CD-roms… Everything to better communicate with the region. Cebenna also organizes numerous visits and discoveries of heritage and nature discoveries.

Set in the consular house, it wants to be a coordinating tool for promoting and valuing the trades of wood, stone, iron, and the crafts of the stage (Ah! Molière!) in the form of exhibitions, lectures and demonstrations.

With its 20,000 visitors per year, this space has become in a short time the spearhead of the cultural and artistic development of Le Barcarès. A real scenography, in the window and in the gallery, highlights paintings and sculptures of regional and international artists, mainly contemporary. The new lounge area, with its red velvet sofas and loungers, also invites visitors, once a month, to literary, philosophical and civic meetings as part of the Café de la culture et des arts. Not to be missed!

The association offers guided tours on the theme of botany and welcomes groups to raise awareness about the environment, sustainable development and biodiversity. Day or half day walks are organised to discover the Floristic nature reserve of Eyne. In the spring, she pare, myosotis, renoncules and gentians. Summer, rhododendrons and lilies. This flora is also made up of rare species, sometimes endemic, whose area of development is restricted to the territory of the valley alone. These various species have been studied for nearly three centuries and today it serves as references to botanists around the world. It is from here that the thyme, gentian, oregano, or other medicinal plants were used by the famous apothecaries of the Spanish enclave of Llivia. One afternoon in the valley of Eyne is an enchantment, you will learn to recognize the different species, feel them, touch them, even taste them sometimes. La Maison de la Vallée also organizes archaeological walks «in the footsteps of the first pastors» which will lead you through the mountain to the dolmens, menhirs and a cave, with remnants of pottery, witness to the occupation of the territory almost 6 000 years ago.
