CAVE DU PÈRE TIENNE
Read moreThe Cave du Père Tiennne, located in the town of Sologny, is the fruit of the dream of Agnès and Eric PANAY, who realized their desire to become winegrowers in 1992. Despite financial difficulties and a lack of land and equipment, they managed to rent a plot of vines and finally become winemakers. They chose to make their wine in a Cave Particulière, so as to be able to market their products directly and make the most of their production by selling in bottles. Thanks to the confidence of other vineyard owners, they have been able to expand their vineyard and now have 5.5 hectares of freehold land and 60 ares of leased land. Their entire harvest is vinified and sold in bottles, mainly direct to private customers who are welcomed at the Cave for enjoyable tastings. Although their three sons have different passions, Agnès and Eric secretly hope that at least one of them will take up the torch to perpetuate the family traditions.

THE CLIMATES OF THE BURGUNDY VINEYARDS
Read moreOn July 4, 2015, the Climats du vignoble de Bourgogne were inscribed on the Unesco World Heritage List. The Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune and their more than 1,200 parcels of vineyards called "climats" are recognized as unique in the world for their diversity, as is the historical heritage they represent. The cities of Dijon and Beaune, as well as the nearly 40 wine-producing villages, are true elements of heritage to be discovered. The basis of this recognition: a very fine terroir vineyard, which has been built over 2,000 years of history and which has given birth to a unique landscape, heritage, know-how and culture.
The inscription on the Unesco World Heritage list commits all the actors of the territory to preserve and enhance this cultural landscape, this exceptional heritage.
The Association des Climats du vignoble de Bourgogne undertakes many actions to protect the site and to help understand this international recognition. A program of enhancement of village entrances and restoration of low walls (there are 220 km on the perimeter of the climats) was launched 3 years ago. Emblematic landscapes such as the hill of Corton are protected, and others, linked to the exploitation of Burgundy stone, such as slag heaps or quarries, are developed to better blend into the landscape. An inventory of the cellars is also underway.
For the visitors, a tourist signposting marks out the road of the Great Growths of Burgundy from Dijon to Santenay, the preferred route to discover the Climats.
The creation of the Maison des Climats du vignoble de Bourgogne, located at the tourist office in Beaune, Porte Marie de Bourgogne, allows visitors to understand how the notion of terroir was built in Burgundy and why the Climats represent a treasure for humanity. On site, a film on a large screen, a 9-meter model of the vineyard and digital tablets are useful and modern teaching aids.
The Climats of the Burgundy vineyard will soon be discovered at the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin in Dijon and in a large dedicated space in the Cité des Climats et des Vins de Bourgogne in Beaune.
This year celebrates the 50th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention. For this occasion, the 9 Unesco sites of Burgundy-Franche-Comté have imagined "aperitifs with a VIEW" for each Friday evening in June, combining exceptional heritage, panorama and gourmet food.
Finally, the festival of the Month of Climats returns from June 3 to July 17: an unmissable event full of more than 50 activities, tastings, workshops, unusual visits, conferences and shows. One more opportunity to celebrate, in the Burgundian art of living!

DOMAINE HUBERT LAPIERRE
Read moreSynonymous with high quality, the surname Lapierre is a name that resonates beautifully in the Beaujolais Mountains, in several wine fields. If it is not easy to take a first name to sign his work, the reference to "safe value" seems to be cleverly carved out to Hubert's wines. The derniers maintain the reputation of an area that must be discovered. The 2009 (€ 5,90), promised for future life, do not depart from the qualitative ambition that guides this Lapierre: The Chénas 2009 (tasted on tank) everything in fruit, smooth, long and fruity (cherry), precedes the "old vines", always in 2009 (6,60 €), longer and tannic but perfectly balanced. These two wines are to be kept in the cellar. Côté Moulin at Wind, the 2009 "Old Vines" (7,20 €), the expression is more immediate (freshness, red fruits: strawberry and redcurrant), already seductive. An overall consistency that gives meaning to the work of the vine grower and the talent of the great Beaujolais.
MAURICE BRESSAND
Read moreThe small Boccard street, parallel to the Quai des Marans, is rather at a stalemate, but it is here that the wines of white Burgundy, pouilly-fuissé and viré-clessé of the owner-collecting, vigneron-collecting, have been bought and sold since 1595. The ancestral cellar houses a small Musée museum and an old-fashioned tinailler, where white wine was pressed. If, as the sign displayed on the portal shows, the vine grower is in the vineyard, it is the vigneronne that will receive you.
DOMAINE JEAN GRIVOT
Read moreFrom his about 15 hectares, Etienne Grivot draws Wines which are among the best in the Côte de Nuits. After his classes at the Beaune high school school, Etienne also studied wine in California and many French wine growers. It has an old style, which insists on the development of the land, in total adequacy with craftsmanship. Rather, his wines are intended for safekeeping: they express their elegance and complexity only after several years, and they can sometimes find them austere or reserved in their youth premium. A good reference.
