After a classical training, Cathy was introduced to modern jazz with Matt Mattox (world-renowned dancer, choreographer and teacher) at the Jazz'Art school in Paris. All this is complemented by tap dancing classes and an introduction to Indian dance and tai chi! This mix of techniques now feeds Cathy Wroblewski's teaching methods, in a good mood and with respect for everyone's abilities. Since 1981, Cathy has been teaching classical dance and modern jazz to children from 4 years old as well as teenagers and adults. She also runs contemporary dance and floor bar classes, modules specifically dedicated to seniors as well as private classes for future brides and grooms who want to master the subtleties of waltz or salsa. Special mention to the room where the classes take place: clear and calm, it is equipped with a beautiful wooden floor and an efficient ventilation system in summer. Cathy is passionate about her job and manages to pass on her passion to her students, it's a gift. Read moreIn the heart of Colmar city center, in a friendly and warm atmosphere, Anne-Cécile Écochard, a graduate plastician of Besançon's Fine Arts, welcomes small and large artists all levels! For younger people, 4 years old: discovery of shapes, colors and harmonies through drawing, painting and modeling. For teenagers: approach to plastic arts techniques (mixed and graphic), introduction to perspective, observation drawing, volume, modeling and presentation of the file for the plastic arts option at baccalaureate and preparation for entry competitions in art school. For adults, Anne-Cécile offers them initiations to different techniques (fusans, graphites, blood, art chalk…), to modeling (clay) and to oil or acrylic painting. In mid-June, a few steps from the Artistic Workshop, at Domaine Martin Jung, the students' work is gathered together with the unconcealed pride of seeing their masterpieces. During school holidays, Anne-Cécile organizes courses for children and teenagers taking place on 3 or 5 days depending on the formulas, around an artist (Hockney, Chagall…) or an original theme (Alice in Wonderland, folk animals…). For adults, many workshops complement the courses on an ad hoc basis (artwork, textile painting, etc.). YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL
Read moreFor over 50 years, Yamaha has been developing music teaching methods adapted to young children, teenagers and adults. The courses are offered through Yamaha Music Schools, a network currently boasting over 6,000 locations worldwide. Inaugurated in September 2015 and directed by Jean-Michel Durand, the Yamaha Music School in Colmar is the only one of its kind in the Grand Est region. It offers "Junior Music Courses" for children (aged 3 to 12), taking into account their physiological and emotional development, "Popular Courses" for adults and teenagers, not forgetting play-based group lessons. Group and individual lessons (voice, guitar, piano and keyboard arranger) are provided by a team of teachers selected by audition and trained according to the YMS method. In addition to courses, the school offers regular workshops and organizes an end-of-year concert. So many ways to learn to sing or master a musical instrument at your own pace, while having fun!
