Eating and shopping is the winning concept of the culinary chain, which opened its first store in Turin, in the former Carpano vermouth factory. Truffles, chocolate, barolo, oil, wine, bread... the best of regional gourmet products, often in season, can be found here on more than 11,000^m2. You can taste tasty menus on the spot, without forgetting to visit the wine cellar - with more than 35,000 bottles, it is the largest in the city - and the museum upstairs. Workshops, seminars and activities are also organized.

Buy the very best in Italian gastronomy, take part in a cooking class, taste a dish of Gragnano "al dente" pasta or Piedmontese meat from La Granda: this temple to gastronomy is now well known and recognized, offering a selection of the very best regional Italian products. In the historic Teatro Smeraldo building, Eataly Milano occupies over 5,000 m² with its restaurants and shows (on Fridays at 7 p.m., a stand-up show and aperitif). An address for gourmets and lovers of good food.

Porta Palazzo is one of the oldest markets in Europe, as you can hear the merchants' voices in the streets since 1825. In the 1980s, Arab, Chinese and African immigration brought an exotic touch to traditional stalls. Thus, alongside the sellers of fruit, vegetables, meat and fish, merchants of spices, fabrics and cheap clothes gradually set up shop, but not without charm. A stroll is highly recommended, just to contemplate the cheeses of the Piedmontese Alps, the butcher's and fishmonger's halls.

The city's oldest flea market, where you can find everything. Hardware, vintage clothes, bicycles (people used to come here to find stolen bikes in Milan), postcards and old paintings are on display every Saturday at the far end of the Navigli district, in a colorful and friendly spirit. Much sought-after by music lovers: the vinyl record dealer, where rare gems of all genres can be found. A hundred or so stalls for original and extravagant souvenirs. A young, bohemian atmosphere.

For the past 400 years, around the Convent of Sant'Angelo, this festival is devoted to flowers, according to a ancient Franciscan tradition.

Numerous weekly markets offer the opportunity to buy Valle d'Aostan specialities from producers. Monday: rue Mont-Fallère; Tuesday: rue Vevey, place Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto, rue Lucat, rue Mazzini; Wednesday: rue Saint-Martin-de-Corléans; Thursday: boulevard de la Paix; Friday: rue Montagnayes; Saturday: rue Vevey, place Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto and rue Lucat. The Halles in place Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto are open Monday to Saturday. A farmers' market, "Lo Tsaven - Campagna Amica", is held in Place Chanoux, with plenty of local organic produce.

Clothes, bags, shoes (watch out for counterfeits), linen and kitchen utensils at very good prices all along Viale Papiniano and Piazza Sant'Agostino, between fruit, vegetables and cheese stalls. It may not be particularly picturesque, but this market still has some bargains in store. On Tuesdays, it's more popular with the locals, while on Saturdays it's mostly tourists. More than a kilometer of shopping where you always end up with a bargain.

Eataly's traditional format meets Caffè Vergnano. Here, you can find the very best of gastronomy in a large food market, choose from thousands of products and references of the finest Italian wines, and sample seasonal menus made with fresh regional produce. And, of course, stop off for an espresso or to try out the new specialties at Caffè Vergnano. On sunny days, take advantage of the outdoor area on the pedestrian street. Eataly enjoys a privileged position in the heart of Turin, surrounded by the most beautiful Baroque palaces.

Probably the chicest market in town. Parallel to via Brera, a stone's throw from its boutiques and pinacoteca, along the elegant via San Marco, in the shadow of the church of the same name, this beautiful market is far from being just a neighborhood market. The Milanese come here to buy a few items at unbeatable prices. Indeed, the sweaters, shoes and jewelry sold here are always at the cutting edge of fashion. Clothes, shoes, flowers but also meat, fish and vegetables, all of which are as beautiful as they are good.
