Stefano Callegari created Trapizzino in 2008 in Rome. His little corner in Testaccio was so successful that it went on to conquer the whole of Italy, and even the world, as a Trapizzino opened in New York. But what exactly is a trapizzino? It's a hybrid between the tramezzino (a sandwich made of triangular sliced bread created in Turin last century) and the pizza. The closed-triangle pizza dough is stuffed with good recipes simmered in steaming pots: chicken cacciatora, polpette, parmiggiana... Delicious, cheap and nutritious!

This 100% all-female pasticceria offers sweets, as any self-respecting pasticceria does, but it also serves coffee and snacks at lunchtime. The room is tiny, but that doesn't stop the locals from crowding in, sometimes even sharing a table without knowing each other: an old lady sips her espresso next to a man in his thirties who is biting into his sandwich while a father orders a bag of various little cookies for the week... A busy but lively atmosphere, a real spectacle!

Not far from the Duomo, in the heart of the historic centre, welcome to one of the Pascucci cafés. For some, it is one of the best cafés in the city and for good reason, they make and sell their own coffee. It is therefore an excellent address from sunrise for a caffeinated breakfast with pastries. During the day, you can also come and enjoy their excellent nougat or the famous panettone. We still recommend the inevitable cappuccino-cornetto combo! And if you prefer tea or chocolate, you won't be disappointed either
