So it never stops. Open all day long in the morning for breakfast, from 10 or 11 o'clock in the evening with a cocktail bar. This traditional kafeneio has been installed on the docks since the 1980s. It remains open all year round and is therefore not exclusively oriented towards tourism. We sit there for hours on the terrace to drink coffee and watch the boats and the world pass by. Very good homemade mezzedes are available: perfect for a light lunch break or to accompany the ouzo at the end of the day. Café Elpida is also famous for its good desserts and friendly atmosphere. This modern café, popular with the locals, is located in Chora opposite the mills. The pleasant shaded terrace is ideal for a cool break during the day or for fresh air after dark. The place is famous for its breakfast: try the very good homemade pougia , the typical filled breads of Astypalaia. You can also order an espresso or a cappuccino freddo worthy of the name. Finally, the desserts and sweets are outstanding, perfect for a snack. This is one of the few places that remains open all year round.

This small café-bar is one of the most authentic on the island and has managed to maintain its relaxed and jovial atmosphere despite the tourist and bobo boom of recent years. Located at the entrance to Kantouni beach, this café-bar only has a name and darts advertisement. It is the meeting place for the young - and not so young - people on the island to have a cocktail or a drink in the evening. A real institution since 1978, Rock and Blues promises a moment of relaxation, in the calm of the Kalymnian night. Of course very well placed to enjoy the sunset as well. The area offers some dining options, including a fairly famous steak sandwich, but it won't be your best culinary option around.

This little café-bar is well named. It is indeed hidden on the foothills of Horio, on the road that goes down to Pedi: a shaded courtyard under the arbour brings freshness and calm. Without a doubt the best cocktail bar in Symi: on the quay leading to the shipyard, Tsati is a real gem. You can drink your aperitif with your feet in the water, facing the red and golden hills of the port at the end of the day. This café on the main square of Skala is the oldest kafeneio in Patmos: opened at the end of the 19th century, it passed from hand to hand within the Karali family. Its name comes from the city of Texas where one of the owners, Andreas, emigrated in the 1930s. Since then, coffee has remained an essential meeting place on the island. This beach bar is one of the most pleasant on Leros. At the entrance to Merikia Bay, you can enjoy a drink overlooking the sea, comfortably seated, in a friendly, slightly trendy and contemporary setting. In the abandoned village of Mikro Horio, Yannis renovated the family home and transformed it into a splendid bar. In the dark night and the magical setting of a ruined village, we celebrate under the stars until the early hours of the morning. You can never predict too much when the party will end. A free shuttle bus is planned from Livadia from midnight to late at night to drink serenely without having to drive.

Located on the beachfront promenade, Mikro Café is an institution in Livadia and one of the most pleasant places to spend a few hours sipping a frappé while playing tavli. You can also eat a few snacks during the day or have a good breakfast. But it is especially in the evening that the places come alive. Go up to the roof terrace to see the day end with a good glass of ouzo and then look at the stars in the sky of an ink black on this small lost island. The owner also manages Mikro Horio's bar.

This café-bar is located in an alleyway in Lindos, opposite the Ambrosia restaurant. The results live up to expectations, with a menu limited by local and seasonal produce wherever possible. You'll enjoy both sweet and savoury dishes, and appreciate the dynamic, fresh atmosphere.

There are two addresses for this mythical cinema in Kos-ville: the address on Elefterias Square is a classic cinema, as we know it here, while the address on Fenaretis is what we call a summer cinema in Greece. It is an open-air cinema that plays all the international films of the moment in the original version with subtitles (in Greek of course). You can have a drink at the small bar to quietly sip wine or a beer under the stars, enjoying the big screen and the freshness of a summer night.

Le Ronda overlooks Elli Beach and offers two areas: the beach bar itself, and the large modern interior, all in curves. The latter is organized under the large dome of a historic and protected building, a unique testimony of fascist architecture in Rhodes. It offers beautiful views of the sea and the port of Mandraki. Theodoraki Dimitriou Street has been a favorite spot for young Rhodians for a few years now, where they meet at any time of the day or night. In an old Italian warehouse in the port of Mandraki, you are here near the ramparts of the old town. The coffee is very good (which is not given everywhere!) and some cocktails are a little more interesting than elsewhere. Special mention also goes to the musical selection, which is of high quality. The space is intimate in the evening and friendly during the day, a perfect balance!
