We love this bar with its elegant yet relaxed lounge atmosphere, which opens onto the beautiful Arionos square. Ideal for enjoying a balmy summer's night, sharing a cocktail with Rhodes' beau monde. We come here to see and be seen, but in a relaxed, elegant sobriety that has been the hallmark of the place for many years. The cocktails are pleasant and tastefully presented. However, given the unique location, it's hardly surprising that prices are a little inflated...

This friendly cocktail bar is located not far from Agia Lesvia square, in a small medieval alleyway that quickly fills up with all the trendy Patmos revelers once night falls. In high season, we recommend that you come for an aperitif in the early evening, if you want to enjoy a quiet little table. Otherwise, you'll be playing elbow-to-elbow, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the rest of the island! The cocktails are some of the best on Patmos (and also some of the most expensive): you'll never tire of discovering the bartender's menu.

Located in the main square, between the bougainvillea and the newsstand, Petrino is the meeting point to start the evening quietly around a small aperitif. We look at the people who go out and meet before or after dinner, in the calm of summer evenings. Quite simply. Nothing special to note, it is the life of Tilos and Livadia that flows peacefully, between the children who play below, the old people who meet at Yorgos. Tourists also come for coffee and breakfast.

The latest establishment on Skala's main square opened its doors for the 2021 season. The historic building has been beautifully renovated, with all the materials and volumes that make up the architectural beauty of the city. This café-bar is pleasant during the day, to drink coffee or have a good brunch, but one comes here especially in the evening to taste the cocktails that make the place famous. The team - younger than its neighbours at the Plaza or Petrino - sometimes struggles to respond quickly to customers, but there's no rush!

For a drink in the pretty port of Mandraki, you'll be spoilt for choice on the waterfront: ideal for a break in front of the waves, whether over a coffee during the day or an aperitif in the evening. You'll find the inevitable Liotridia, the friendly Proveza and Rythmos Cafés, the relaxed Enallax Bar, renowned for its cocktails in particular (and open only after 6 p.m. in the evening), not forgetting the traditional ouzerie in the main square, Adrikos Café, the beating heart of Mandraki for decades.

This straw hut is located on the small pebble beach of Giala, before you reach the bay of Nimborios proper. We appreciate the shade of the canisses and the music, which is not too intrusive: ideal for a break between two swims in the sun. In addition to cold drinks and coffees, the bar serves a number of quality snacks. These include souvlaki, a delicious way to quench your hunger without breaking the bank. The whole place is attractive, better integrated into the space than many beach bars on the islands. A friendly, quiet atmosphere.

Located at the southern end of Pedi Bay, not far from the start of the path leading to Agios Nikolaos beach, this cozy café is particularly pleasant. You can stop here to get your strength back before the walk to the beach, or to recharge on the way back... In fact, you don't need to have a good excuse before or after your walk: you can come here at any time for a delicious breakfast, a coffee, a light lunch, a slice of cake for an afternoon snack or an aperitif in the evening, all with a calm sea view. A lovely address.

This bar with its industrial look attracts young Rhodians to the heart of Rhodes' new town. The large terrace is always busy in season, when locals and tourists happily cross paths on the tables and high stools of this relaxed, friendly establishment. It's not just for the well-crafted cocktails, but also for the DJ evenings that punctuate the summer (and the rest of the year too!). The cocktail menu features classics, but the bartenders are also happy to concoct a house specialty.

At the very end of the Agia Marina pier, north of the landing stage and level with the lighthouse that closes off the bay, you'll find these two establishments side by side, in a magnificent setting. Café Alevromylos is the ideal place to enjoy a freddo or a Greek coffee while watching the boats arrive and depart, in a quiet setting away from the cars and scooters that usually ply Agia Marina. The formula is a big hit, and evenings in season are packed. Come early to secure a table on the rooftop terrace: the view of the Lindos acropolis is always a plus for sipping a drink as night falls. As the night progresses, the atmosphere becomes more festive (and noisy!): ideal for those who want to party in style.

This pleasant café is located overlooking the small marina of Pera Gialos: you can enjoy the shaded terrace to watch the sun rise through the masts or to protect yourself from the rays when it is already high, after a lie-in. A meeting place for yachting crews, it has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. People come here for breakfast or for cakes during the day (special mention for the cheesecakes), to be accompanied by a proper freddo in the harbour. Out of season, the young parents of Astipalaia like to meet here.

This café and beach bar is located at the end of Livadia Bay, just outside the village. In a modern and lounge atmosphere, you can drink good freddosduring the day and some cocktails in the evening. All this with a view of the whole beach and the Kastro above. The bar also offers deckchairs and umbrellas for rent to relax on the beach. There are also some snacks, not necessarily great food but enough to satisfy a small hunger during the day.

Michalis and Vassiliki opened this small café-bar on a small square in Megalo Horio in the summer of 2023. A few tables spread out quietly, dominated by the imposing silhouette of the overhanging kastro: it's particularly beautiful at night, when the medieval castle is illuminated. In the mornings, you'll come here for breakfast and coffee, before the midday sun beats down too hard, and in the evenings for aperitifs and mezzedes. The rest of the time, you'll be warmly welcomed by the adorable young owners.

Le Petalo opened on the quays at the western tip of Gialos harbor a few years ago. Part café-bar, part quayside beach and part restaurant, it's a trendy (and therefore expensive) spot that offers superb views over the harbor and brings a touch of modernity to Gialos. You can spend the whole day here, between breakfast, a sunbathing session on the deckchairs set up for coffee (beware, they're expensive!), a swim, a neat cocktail as an aperitif or dinner in the restaurant proper.

A new arrival at the start of the 2023 summer season, this wine cellar has been set up on the port, next to the pharmacy. An interesting initiative, particularly for discovering and tasting wines from Lipsi, but also from the rest of Greece. Lovers of cocktails at aperitif time will not be outdone, as a number of mixed options are also available à la carte. A few cheeses and charcuterie are also welcome to liven things up. Ideal for lounging at the end of the day, on the high stools set up in front of the boutique.

This cocktail bar recaptures the aesthetic of speakeasy bars, which proliferated in Prohibition-era New York in the 1920s. Dark colors, subdued lighting, jazz in the background and high stools along the solid wood bar... everything you need to immerse yourself in a vintage, intimate atmosphere! The bartenders concoct creative blends, adding to all the classics of the genre, here perfectly executed. The menu of tasty elixirs changes regularly, sometimes incorporating typically local ingredients.

This new café opened in the pretty inner courtyard of the Hotel Anastasia, in a quiet alleyway not far from the Gialos campanile. Since its opening in 2022, the café has become a port staple for sipping coffee and relaxing over a treat during the day, or brunching on a hearty and tasty breakfast in the morning. Whether you prefer sweet or savoury, you'll find what you're looking for here, in this little haven of peace where the warm welcome adds to the experience. We wish long life to Pavone Café!

Overlooking Kantouni beach, this bar has long been a nighttime headquarters for Kalymnos party-goers: Domus has undergone a bit of a transformation since the 1980s, but the party's still going strong! Today, the establishment is open for coffee first thing in the morning and serves a variety of cuisine all day long. In the evenings, the place regains its festive touch, with seasonal DJ sets. Come for a cocktail or aperitif, enjoy it as the sun sets over the Aegean Sea, and then stay to party to the music.

This café-bar, open late in the day and into the night, is located at the entrance to Alinta Bay, when arriving from the port of Agia Marina. You come here to enjoy an aperitif in a setting barely disturbed by the main road that runs along the seafront and past this establishment with its friendly, cosy atmosphere. In the dark of night, the sea lingers right there, and we linger too. The music doesn't steal the show, and is discreetly played in the background. In winter, locals gather by the fireplace. A simple but successful address.

On the edge of the harbor, on the small Panteli marina, this bar with its warm, relaxed atmosphere is one of Leros' nightlife institutions. Located in a street adjacent to the Liston, this bar deserves to be known. The terrace is set in the heart of old Corfu. This pleasant café - and less expensive than the palace of the same name in Paris - is pleasant during the day for its jazz or lounge music, then it turns into a lively bar in the evening, literally taken over by Corfu students. The cocktails are delicious: try the very original one made with kumquat liqueur, a specialty of the island! It's called the "kumquat o'clock", and it's a real treat!

You can stay all day in this popular spot for the local youth. There is a different atmosphere at every hour of the day in this beautiful beachfront location, with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Juices and coffees to discover, as well as its deckchairs. Excellent beach beer and cocktails in the evening, with international music, usually with two guest DJs per night. In short, a good atmosphere to discover in one or more times depending on the time. Sandwiches, toasts, snacks and cooked dishes only during the day from 9am to 6pm.

A design place easily recognizable with its pink colors. It serves cocktails but also steaks, burgers, poultry... Plasma TV, dancing, DJ... The place opened in Laganas in the summer of 2006 and has been dancing (almost) non-stop ever since. This popular place for young people has a total capacity of 1,000 people and hosts international events and DJs from all over the world. It is also possible to eat there and reserve a table. Winter and summer alike, this trendy café is a favourite with Corfiotes. As we walked by, we noticed that its outdoor terrace was always busy. And we quickly understand why! The view on the bay and the old fort of Corfu is irresistible. The coffee is very good, and the breakfasts too! Try the feta cheese omelette for example, it's very tasty. The café serves snacks all day, burgers, huge salads and excellent sandwiches. If you are with your family, the children can play in the nearby park.

A bar in the center of Fiskardo, in a beautiful pre-earthquake house on a pedestrian street. It's the ideal place to sip a cocktail, watch a soccer match or live concerts, depending on the day. The establishment offers excellent cocktails and refreshing drinks. We recommend the house lemonade. The prices are right and the waiters friendly. It's also a rare place in Fiskardo where people can play and hear live music. It's easy to see why it's a meeting place for the local youth!

Right on the water, this charming little café offers excellent breakfasts: espresso or cappuccino, fresh orange juice, omelettes, pancakes... It is often taken by storm and it is easy to see why. Sitting in its lovely sofas, you can enjoy the view of the port of Kioni, which looks magnificent and idyllic. In the evening the establishment is just as pleasant and you can sip excellent cocktails, or, to be more in the Greek tradition, aperitif alcohols like ouzo, tsipouro, often accompanied by small mezzedes.

One of the many cafés along the Liston: this beautiful café has a large terrace overlooking the Spianada, Corfu's large park, which is a very pleasant spot in all seasons. The atmosphere is friendly, and Corfiotes are happy to mingle with tourists for long evenings! It's one of the town's most popular - and often fully booked - places to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine at any time of day. You can sit for hours and watch the crowds go by on their way to and from the beach and the old town.

An incredible bar by the sea. At the very end of the pier, here's where to find excellent cocktails and fresh fruit juices. Exceptional vantage point, with views of the port on one side and the open sea on the other... Admittedly, the coffees are more expensive than elsewhere and the service not always up to scratch. But this is a place to pay for yourself, and there's something for everyone. What's more, you can relax here at any time. In the morning, breakfast is tasty. In the evening, you can enjoy an aperitif in front of the sunset, sometimes with live music.

This bar-crêperie-tea house at the beginning of the harbour is often noticeable by the length of the queue in front of it. If you don't come to Paxos for its nightlife, you'll soon find consolation in the food. This adorable café offers excellent ice cream and homemade pastries. The crepes, while not up to the standard of Brittany, are a real treat, and the homemade ice creams are delicious. The coffee - hot or cold - is also worth the detour, especially since everything is served, most of the time, with a smile.

We're so happy to find a (real) espresso in the old town! Here, a few tables overlook one of Corfu's quietest and most pleasant squares. A small inner courtyard, to the left of the bar, is very pleasant and shady. A relaxing atmosphere, with a little music, and very comfortable seats. A beautiful courtyard, with a huge fan when the heat is on. Coffee and drinks are reasonably priced, and the staff are very friendly. And if it's too hot, try the iced tea, not bad either...

At the foot of the Esplanade ramparts, a great place to eat and dance. A good atmosphere with a view of Corfu Fort, good cocktails, house and techno music. The food is good, well presented and reasonably priced. On some evenings, a DJ is present, so you can get straight on with the evening. The bar is on two levels, elegant and close to the sea, so you can dance to international hits well into the night. In summer, a lively and exceptional atmosphere is guaranteed!

It bears its name in all simplicity on the eponymous promenade. On this esplanade, which looks like the Rue de Rivoli, the prices are not the same as in Paris, however, and the atmosphere is undoubtedly a little more relaxed. Despite a well-stocked menu, we must admit that we prefer to come here for a drink, to chat and to watch life go by. It's ideal at the end of the evening and practical when waiting for the bus to go to Kanoni or before the taxi to the airport for example. The place is also worth a visit for its breakfasts.

Kythera is not really a party destination. Nevertheless, Astikon remains the place to be for all those who want to enjoy the long summer evenings. Almost every night in the summer, live concerts are organized and all the youth meet in this bar. The cocktails are incredible, try the lemonada (fresh lemon juice with tequila or rum depending on your taste). You can also have a wonderful breakfast here. The welcome is friendly and the decor, both vintage and trendy, is superb.

You will find entertainment at all hours. On the port of Zakynthos, this establishment welcomes all the youth of the island, from morning to night, from breakfast to the last drink. You can have a brunch here, with salmon eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, toast, pancakes... At any time of the day, you can also eat: the salads, pasta dishes and burgers are delicious. In short, a good atmosphere, very friendly staff, fast service and very good and tasty food.

In front of the yachts and the small friendly harbour of Agia Efimia, you can have a full breakfast or just a coffee. In the evening, the local youth likes to meet for a cocktail and listen to live concerts of Greek bands on some summer nights. This is one of the most fashionable and popular spots on the coast: located in the busiest part of the port of Agia Efimia with a view of the sea, yachts and passing tourists, this bar-restaurant is the ideal place, at any time of the day, to have a drink or a bite to eat

Overlooking the entire city of Zakynthos, near the city's citadel, you will have a breathtaking life from this café. It is mainly for this exceptional view, and the romantic evening setting, that you should come to this café-bar. The cocktails, fresh juices and ice creams are very good and the prices are not exaggerated. Maybe we were lucky but the staff were incredibly friendly and smiling. Small food, nice and light. The magical view of the spot and the sea breeze will make you appreciate your stop even more!

A beautiful place to spend the day. This beach bar with deckchairs and big cosy sofas is beautiful between the sea, the beach and the greenery of a well kept garden. The service is professional and you can have a coffee or a drink in the evening. The quality of the entire offer, from coffee to food to cocktails, contrasts with the rest of the offer on the beach. The establishment also offers excellent dishes: risottos, pastas, salads, burgers... There is also an accessories store (jewelry, ceramics, souvenirs).

A vintage café that plays selective and relaxing lounge and jazz music. Some tables by the water, and others inside in a neat decor. Breakfasts are tasty and hearty (try the fruit smoothies and yogurt). Coffee, cocktails and homemade desserts are also available. The baklava and orange cake are worth a try! There are places outside in the alley in the shade or in the sun as well as a large terrace on the harbour side. And in the evening, the place transforms into THE cocktail bar!

A nice bar in the Chora, with a nice terrace. Maybe you will find, as we did, that this is the best café to have a full breakfast? Pancakes, scrambled eggs, toast, fresh fruit juice, coffee of all kinds... The establishment also offers excellent desserts served throughout the day: cheesecake, waffles, apple pie. Sweets that can be enjoyed with a panoramic view of the Cytherean countryside. The quality of the food is honest, the service is excellent and the coffee is good. What more could you ask for?

A couple of James Bond fans have lined the café with photos from the 007 films. Released in 1981, Nothing But Your Eyes was partly filmed in Corfu, particularly in the Paleokastritsa area. One scene was even filmed at the very location of the café. Connoisseurs will recognize it, or the owners will remind you. Otherwise, Eleni, the owner, prepares excellent lemon and apple cakes. You can also have mezzedes washed down with ouzo. To top it all off, the welcome here is very friendly.

A beautiful atmosphere, right above the waves. As the name suggests, you're on the rocks overlooking the crystal-clear beach of Aghios Nikitas. Is there anything better than drinking your coffee by the sea? The setting is truly sumptuous, and you can quench your thirst with iced coffee, iced drinks and ice creams in this inviting beach bar. On the menu: light refreshments and cocktails, with pleasant, professional service. At sunset, of course, the scenery is even more fascinating!

A very pretty beach bar: just across the bay from Agios Nikitas, Captain's Corner serves coffee and drinks all day long, until late at night. Very pretty setting with sea views, and the cocktails are excellent! Probably the best on the island, with a breathtaking view. Nice music at normal volume! You can also have mezzedes, small fried fish and salads, with an ouzo. Even families are welcome: even if the bar fills up quickly, children can still play on the beach.

A trendy café in an alleyway in Gaios where the blooming bougainvillea hangs above the tables. It is at Café Kalimera that you can enjoy a refreshing beer with the locals or a breakfast, consisting of Greek yoghurt and fruit, on the terrace. This café, a little set back from the main square of Gaios, has a very nice room and a terrace that takes over the street, with its tables and chairs, and sometimes even cushions on the floor! The ideal place to drink a beer, cocktails or snacks.

Here's an establishment in the hills that can be reached by car via a very narrow path (although it's also possible to get there on foot). Terrace with a splendid view of the coast of Afionas and the beach of Aghios Georgios, impeccable service, and a real treat on the plate. You can stop off here after a sporty jaunt to Porto Timoni, one of Corfu's most beautiful beaches. The menu is well-stocked with good, hearty dishes. However, the restaurant is a little pricey, so we recommend just having a coffee or dessert!

It is easy to see why it is considered the best place in the village to have a drink or a snack. The place is ideal for coffee or breakfast in Avlemonas with a beautiful view of the small boat harbour. It is also a good place to have a drink in the evening. On the small harbour, this café-bar offers good breakfasts and in the evening excellent cocktails. The music is carefully chosen and the setting is dreamy!

Hidden in the mountains above Assos, this charming little café offers delicious cakes made with love by Rosie. Some lunchtime dishes are also concocted by the owner. The food is excellent and the plates are hearty. The colourful terrace with a view of the surrounding hills is sublime! The owner and staff are very friendly and attentive, and the view is magnificent. The perfect place to have a meal in the fresh air. We recommend you stop by, even if it's just for a drink.

A paradisiacal and impressive view on the Argassi bay and a refined decor perfect for a romantic evening! The cocktails are worthy of the best Parisian bars. Al Nur also serves excellent modern cuisine: beef cheeks with gnocchi and chicken with asparagus and artichokes are very popular dishes! With a wonderful sunset, usually, on the program in the evening. Impeccable service and beautiful, refined cuisine.

A café-bar facing the sea that serves fresh cocktails at reasonable prices. Throughout the day, to the sound of the waves and ambient music, you can enjoy coffee, fresh fruit juice and ice cream. In the evening, candles light up the tables, the setting is romantic and relaxing. You will find a very good home-made hamburger. Not typical of Greek cuisine, but hearty and ideal for a quick bite to eat and enjoy the beach, before getting back on the boat and sailing off to new gastronomic adventures.
