ONO BY MAROULI
Read moreFrom the 100% vegetarian (and mostly vegan) dishes served to its environmental approach (zero plastic), this restaurant will delight veggies. From breakfast to dinner, ONO by Marouli has managed to offer travelers what was sorely lacking in Rhodes: good, healthy, delicious and rather inexpensive food. The menu changes regularly and is inspired by Israeli cuisine, which knows how to combine flavors, veganism and fresh produce. On the drinks front, the house cocktails and lemonade are well worth the detour. Brunch is a must for a good start to the day.
AVRA TAVERNA ON THE BEACH
Read moreCome and settle down here: musical lounge atmosphere, terrace by the sea, Avra has the merit of offering a setting conducive to both a romantic evening and a beer with friends. The staff is attentive and smiling, but it is above all the cuisine that is recommended: seafood and fish of course, but also salads, zucchini fritters, desserts... Terrace. Deckchairs on the beach too. All this for reasonable prices.
PINES
Read moreBacked by a small pine forest, a rustic place in its own right. Some classics of Greek and Cephalonian cuisine: traditional meat pie, local sausages stuffed with cheese or lamb stuffed with prunes, apricots and raisins. A vegetarian menu is also available. And while you're at it, don't miss the delicious desserts, especially the walnut cake. But if you're looking for less traditional fare, the owners also run the Symposium on the Beach, which serves predominantly Italian cuisine.
AMPELAKI
Read moreBeware, aliada is a garlic dip, but it is also delicious. Like meat pie, coq au vin or rabbit stew. On the menu, you'll find kleftiko, the traditional slow-roasted leg of lamb from local farms with tomatoes, peppers and feta cheese, or kouneli (rabbit marinated in vinegar overnight and cooked in a tomato sauce with white wine, onion, garlic and cloves). Special mention also goes to the patsavouropita, a milk pie. Not surprisingly, the establishment also makes its own wine
FISHKARDO
Read moreThe arrival of Michelin-starred chef Lefteris Lazarou - formerly of the prestigious Varoulko in Piraeus - has not gone unnoticed. Here, tables sprawl across the picturesque harbor, laden with fish specialties. Among her creations are marvellous garlic shrimps with wine sauce, cherry tomatoes and olive oil. We also love his wild artichoke fillets or soups, depending on the season. Alternatively, you can rediscover his talent a few meters away at Tra Due, on Kavvadia Square, where the chef serves specialties with a more Italian accent.
KALAFATIS
Read moreThis small establishment has been part of the décor since 1945. This is a wooden bridge, on the dock, in the harbour. On the menu, stews, meat pies, delicious moussakas, but especially the lamb kleftiko, a beautiful piece of charcoal baked meat.
AMMOS SEASIDE BAR
Read moreIt was the only beach bar when we passed through, not unpleasant. This beachside café-bar-snack bar serves snacks, drinks and ice creams. You can eat on the covered terraces around the bar or on the beach itself. Nikos, the owner, is charming and attentive to both locals and tourists who want to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the magnificent beach. In season, beach volleyball competitions also enliven the beach, as do concerts at the end of the day.
FLISVOS THE SEASIDE EXPERIENCE
Read moreIdeally located at the end of the Kanoni peninsula, this Greek-Mediterranean restaurant is one of the culinary addresses to try in Corfu. First for the setting and the breathtaking view of one of the island's must-see spots, the church of Pontikonisi, and the spectacular aircraft landings nearby. Then for the dishes, worked with passion and elegance, on a basis of fresh products oriented towards the sea. Our favorite for a romantic dinner.
MARGETIS
Read moreThe most popular place in town, and not only among tourists, with only a few tables on the terrace (opposite Skyros Travel). In this small typical Greek tavern, you will taste a good traditional cuisine, sitting under a charming mulberry tree. The place is especially known for its lamb chops (among other grilled meats), its delicious grilled fish or its kid with lemon. But vegetarians will be delighted by a set of tasty mezzes, and without meat. Pleasant atmosphere and warm service.
KABOURELIA
Read moreIt's the kind of tavern that you love with avenant staff and a kitchen where you can take a look. Here, we recommend the safe and safe values of the island: grilled fish and octopus salad. And the staff is generous: at every commandé ordered, you usually offer a small mezze…
ALEXANDER'S GARDEN
Read moreA warm welcome and a bucolic and intimate setting... What more could you ask for? The place really deserves to be asked for directions when going up the narrow streets of the port. You arrive in a quiet garden around a well and a superb lemon tree. We eat in an interior courtyard decorated with great elegance. On the table, a tapenade with black olives and toasted bread, already. The chef then offers grilled meats, his pork with plums from the garden or the traditional Skopelos pie. Beautiful Greek hospitality and waiters to the small care.
