LE BOWL MARSEILLAIS

Skateboarding

Since 1991, Marseille has had its bowl, one of the most important in Europe and renowned throughout the old continent. Inspired by Californian structures, the Bowl has a surface area of 700 m² of gliding designed like an endless wave (the largest of which is 2.70 m long). The Phocaean skate-park is a delight for skaters, but also for fans of rollerblading, cross country skiing, mountain biking and skating... International competitions are regularly organised and very well attended. A paradise for those who know how to climb up to the top, with a view of the sea. And if you don't have the soul of a rider, but you like exceptional performances, become a simple spectator. Renovated in 2017.

Here's a great urban skating area open to the general public! The Palais Omnisports de Marseille is home to an indoor skatepark and two ice rinks (one Olympic, the other recreational). Skaters, rollerbladers and BMX daredevils can enjoy 20,700m2 of space, complete with obstacles and play areas. Four areas are available for maximum thrills: a ramp area, a street area, a foam pit and a special area for young riders. Practice is free! To learn the necessary technique and safety rules, or to progress on your own: accompanied by an instructor, you can take introductory lessons from the age of 4. In a group or as a family, you can also discover the thrills of ice karting all year round! Regular evening and weekend entertainment and events. The Palais des Glaces also hosts national and international championships, open to the public. You can also rent equipment on site (scooters, helmets, skateboards, rollerblades, BMX, etc.). In short, it's the ideal place for gliding and thrills! A must-see (or rediscover).
