SAINT PHILOMENA CHAPEL
Read moreIt's the church of the old village now missing. Erected at the end of the xie, it was redesigned in the xive, then enlarged in the xviie just before the Old Puget was abandoned for the current plain village. Evidence of these many changes: its unusual architecture consisting of two neves ending each one by an abysmal abbey, and above all the double presence of the full-hanger and the warhead, symbols of two distinct eras. Today, it is listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments.

JEANNE D'ARC CHURCH
Read moreBuilt between the 20s and 30s, this church has an amazing architecture. Its reinforced concrete structure, new building material at the time, permitted architects to imagine a futuristic framework, influenced by Art Nouveau in vogue at the time. This Catholic Church, classified as a historic monument since 1992 has three large ovoid and eight smaller domes, based on four pillars and a slender tower of 64 meters high. The interior painting of Eugene Klementtief was inspired by Cubism but also Russian icons while the windows give the structure an oriental touch.

CHURCH SAINTE-DÉVOTE
Read moreSaint Devote is the patron saint and protector of the Principality. Originally from Corsica, she was one of the Christian victims of the persecution led by the Roman emperor Diocletian. According to legend, her entourage managed to recover her remains and put them in a boat, which ran aground in Monaco. The martyr, who became a saint, was buried there. The current church dates from 1870 and is surprising with its facade that rises between two cliffs, near one of the accesses to the railway station. Every January 27, the saint is commemorated by setting fire to a boat on the square.
