Where to practice an individual sport Ile de Ré

When you are in Saint-Martin-de-Ré, you will be able to enjoy the port, the flowery alleys, but also the Barbette park, the donkeys' playground! Mr Léau has chosen this preserved natural setting, a stone's throw from the village, to settle with animals that are part of the heritage of the Retais. Children are of course welcome. They will be able not only to observe these animals - always dressed in their underpants - but also to stroke them. From April onwards, Régis and Jérémiah will take your little one for a bucolic stroll along the paths of the park.

The Ile de Ré is also an ideal area for horseback riding. If you're in the mood for horseback riding, head for these stables just outside La Flotte. Approved by the French Federation, this riding school offers a wide range of activities. For the past 30 years, this golf course has been offering a 9-hole seaside course in a wild setting north of the Ile de Ré. Often windy, it is nonetheless pleasant to play and offers a lovely view of the Fier river. The driving range will cost you the price of buckets of balls. Individual lessons are also available. Golfers have plenty of room in the clubhouse, especially on the terrace sheltered by the pergola - to enjoy the breathtaking view. Bright and cosy, it's the ideal place to relax after a round.
