400 goats, 40 cows and cheeses to die for! Here, even the farm wins awards... and has for years!
It's a pleasant farm in Pays-Fort on the edge of the Sologne region, where intensive goat rearing (over 400 head) enables the production of various varieties of goat cheese, including the AOP Crottin de Chavignol. A herd of 40 dairy cows produces butter, milk, yoghurts, crème fraîche... For a century now, this farm has been steadily expanding and consolidating its quality, to the point where it has been awarded, 10 times over, the title of " Première ferme fleurie" (First Flower Farm ) for the Cher department, awarded every year since 2000!
