Around the church of Saint-Jacques, whose modern sacred furnishings are worth a visit, the Place Pélissière slopes gently down to the Place du Docteur Cayla, where the temple and the Place de la Myrpe (Myrtle Square) open out, where the statue of an adopted child from Bergerac, Cyrano, stands. On the quai Salvette, at the foot of which the waters of the Dordogne flow, there is a beautiful view of the old roofs and the old brick bridge that joins the Madeleine district. The tourist office of Bergerac Sud Dordogne usually offers guided tours on several themes. On Wednesday mornings, the gourmet tour on the theme of wine ends at the town's weekly market.
