In James Suckling's Top 100 Alsace wines is this spearhead of organic (Ecocert) and biodynamic (Demeter) viticulture. Founded in 1725, it brings together on 23 hectares a mosaic of rich terroirs in Grand Cru appellation (Schlossberg, Hengst, Goldert, Brand). Visit the cellar, decorated in a contemporary style, and taste some of its wines, such as the Riesling Jade 2021, whose mineral complexity goes perfectly with a seafood platter, or the Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Hengst 2019, with its aromas of mango, papaya and lychee.

Accueil chaleureux et dégustation généreuse ! Nous cherchions un domaine en biodynamie et sommes ravis d'être tombés sur le Domaine Saint Rémy. Très bons vins pour les amateurs de Gewurtz et Pinot.

We had an amazing wine tasting here! Our host (I wish I remembered her name!) was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us an overview of all the different regions of Alsace before honing in on the examples that they produce. Getting to taste side-by-side examples of each variety was a special treat. Highly recommend a visit here!
