Its construction started in 1834 and it took three years to build this tower of 44 metres. Its electification was done before the Second World War. At sixty-seven meters above the English Channel, it lights up to 36 km at sea. 198 steps allow you to reach the top of the platform: you can enjoy a panorama stretching from Sept-îles to the east in the Virgin Island to the west, at the entrance of Aber Wrac'h, via the entrance of Morlaix bay.

February and Easter holidays: Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm May and June: Tuesday to Sunday: 1.30pm to 4.30pm. In July and August: every day from 11am to 5pm. In September and October: Tuesday to Sunday from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. All Saints' Day holidays: Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 12pm and from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Christmas holidays: Wednesday to Sunday: 11am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Open all year round for groups on reservation. Adult: 4 €. Child (from 6 to 12 years old): 2 €. Family pass: 10€. Guided tour.

Pour couronner une belle promenade sur l’île de Batz, la visite du phare est incontournable. On comprend mieux la vie insulaire au cours des siècles grâce à l’exposition présentée dans les anciens logements de fonction des gardiens. Nous avons eu la chance d’avoir beau temps et de bénéficier d’une vue magnifique sur la côte et l’île après avoir gravi les 198 marches de l’escalier en colimaçon. L’accueil y est sympathique et courtois.

Revivez les moments passés en visitant ce phare qui rappelle de sacrés souvenirs : On sent encore la présence du père Gallou qui à exercé quelques années à entretenir ce monument. Quelle vue magnifique dans cette île si près du continent.

le phare reflète l'ambiance de l’Île, accès plutôt facile, le dépaysement est total, tout est prétexte à la flânerie, la rêverie, surtout du haut de ce monument.

Free tour and good market. Having climbed the 210 steps (spiral climb is not insurmountable), which pleasure to discover this beautiful Island of Batz like a bird. From up there, one has truly the importance of the market gardening in the life of this island as well turned towards the land and towards the sea.
