THE LITTLE ITALIAN THEATER
Monuments & Buildings
Recommended
This building was built to replace the old theatre that disappeared with the town hall burned down in 1875. Located at Place de la Résistance, it is the work of sculptor and architect Guibé Angier. Some striking features: a huge chandelier illuminates the room and a fresco representing the four muses of arts (music, comedy, dance and drama). It was inaugurated in 1884 and it is listed in the French supplementary Historical Monument list in 1996.
