The marsh extends over 3 km and more than 7 ha. Surrounded by the countryside and the dunes of Sables d'Or, it offers a landscape that changes with the tides. This ecosystem has a rich fauna and flora: samphire, spartina, sea lavender... and in the past, cows and sheep were grazed there. Move forward to discover the islet Saint-Michel on the horizon. You will have bypassed the Roche du Marais, also called the Gravelle de Gargantua. According to the legend, this is a disturbing stone found in his shoe and thrown there by the giant. Note that there is a marked trail.

Que ce soit pour une ballade ou pour se poser loin des touristes de la plage des Sables-d'or, cet endroit est idéal. Beau et facile d'accès, on peut y randonner ou faire des pic-nic en famille.

Une magnifique lagune, très abritée, un paysage changeant selon la marée et les coefficients de marée, un endroit idéal pour jouer dans le sable et barboter avec de jeunes enfants, un cadre magnifique avec vue et passage vers l'ilôt saint Michel et la grande, longue et magnifique plage des Sables
