The castle of Dinan is a masterpiece of the medieval enclosure which surrounds the city.

Masterpiece of the medieval enclosure which surrounds the city, the castle of Dinan was built between 1380 and 1390 by the Duke of Brittany Jean IV and fortified in the 16th century. Don't miss the impressive kitchens, the exceptional banqueting hall lit by beautiful mullioned windows, the covered way and the panoramic view from the terrace. Below, you will see the small ditches and the Val Cocherel garden, very popular with the people of Dinan. Nicknamed the garden of the little devils, it is ideal for a family moment or for a walk.

Opening time and information on DINAN CASTLE

Winter (February, March, April, October, November and December) Tuesday to Sunday from 1:30 to 6:30 pm. Summer (May, June, July, August and September) every day from 10:30 am to 7 pm. Free until 6 years old. Adult : 7,50 €. Children (8 to 18 years old): 3,50 € (students, unemployed). Group (10 people): 6 €. Family pass (2 adults + 2 children and more): 18,5 €. Guided tours included in the entrance ticket, please ask for the schedule. Guided tour (see dates at the Tourist Office). Animations.

Château magnifique. Sens de la visite très organisé . Très belle vue panoramique. Difficile de se garer mais ça vaut le coup. Personnel de l'accueil très sympathique. Nous avons passé une très bonne journée.
