Domaine Fahrer: Alsace wines between Rorschwihr and Saint-Hippolyte: Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Noir and charming guest rooms.

This family business has 9.5 hectares of vines between the communes of Rorschwihr and Saint-Hippolyte. The wines are mostly young. There is, for example, a magnificent Riesling Le Vin du Jardin 2021 (a must with oysters or sauerkraut) and a sublime Muscat " Le Chant des Oiseaux " 2022 : powerful and greedy, a marvel with spring asparagus. Don't miss out on the Amour Éternel Rouge de Saint-Hippolyte 2021 Pinot Noir, aged in Burgundy barrels: toasty vanilla and tannins. 5 charming rooms for visiting guests.

Personnel très sympathique, bonne chambre, petit déjeuner correct, Saint Hippolyte sympathique mais petite ville à l'offre limitée. Nous avons reçu de très bons conseils sur les randonnées dans les vignobles et dans les montagnes autour de Saint Hippolyte que nous avons appréciés et utilisés avec grand plaisir. C'est incroyablement beau à la fois dans les montagnes et dans les vignobles.
