CHATEAU DE RULLY
12th century castle with farm, park and terrace, tasting offered and events organized.
Privately-owned and family-run, Château de Rully is one of the jewels of the Côte Chalonnaise. The owners are happy to welcome the public on guided tours, where they explain the history of this 12th-century château. Visitors can explore the interior of the building, as well as the grounds. Children are also catered for at Château de Rully, as they can dress up as princesses and knights thanks to the loan of costumes made by the owner. Workshops are also offered to help them discover the Middle Ages in a fun way. An orienteering race, accessible without reservation, allows visitors to get to grips with the park.
Anthonin Rodet operates the château's agricultural estate. Tastings are available on reservation, and are organized in the medieval kitchen or in the superb 15th-century cellar, where the estate's wines are served with traditional gougères.
In addition to its regular schedule, the château opens its doors to the curious during the Heritage Days in September. And if you'd like to enjoy château life for a family or business reception, the estate has an impressive capacity to accommodate your project, in the 170m2 former winery, the 90m2 medieval kitchen, the 50m2 dining room, the 600-person terrace overlooking the Côte Chalonnaise and, last but not least, the 10-hectare park. Enough to dream for a few hours.
