Museum presenting the history of sacred art through various galleries and educational tools in Paray-le-Monial.

This imposing museum, completed in 1893, has always served this function, making it a rare site listed as a Monument Historique. Numerous educational tools are available to help visitors visit and understand the exhibits. The various galleries present the history of sacred art, from 17th- and 18th-century Italian paintings to works by contemporary artists. The museum is also home to the exceptional 1904 National Treasure by goldsmith and jeweller Joseph Chaumet.

Un musée composé de œuvres d'art antiques et modernes parfaitement mises en valeur et qui se complètent. Entrée gratuite, cela donne envie d'y retourner pour apprécier chaque œuvre avec le temps qu'il faut. A conseiller.

Musée très agréable avec des collections de taille moyenne. Le dialogue entre oeuvres anciennes et contemporaines est très pertinent; il permet de découvrir l'art religieux sous de nouvelles formes. Enfin, le "Chemin de Vie" de Joseph Chaumet y est exposé et vaut le détour. Ce trésor national irradie de splendeur et ne vous laissera pas indifférent.
