Covering an area of 350 ha, the former mining sites, located between the expressway and the Canal du Centre, are divided into three parts, two of which have been converted into pleasure parks. a total of 140 ha of greenery sit in the heart of the city, where the coal mining quarries once stood. Dedicated to walking and leisure activities, each park has its own lake. There's also a conservatory orchard, rose garden, multi-sports field and animal farm.
