Welcome to the ceja de selva, literally the eyebrows of the jungle. Under this poetic name hides a region that is just as much: hilly, green, cultivated also of fruit trees, coca, cocoa and coffee. One bathes in the torrents, one walks between the plantations, one meditates in front of the mists at the beginning or end of the day. This micro-climate extends from north to south on the slope of the Andes before the Amazonian plain but this region close to Cusco is a refuge that already seduces some expatriates. Count 3h30 by bus/car from Ollantaytambo, be careful it zigzags hard. If you have time, you will not regret it.
