Hôtel-Dieu run by the Sainte-Marthe community, then became the Louhans hospital with a courtyard leading to the wards.

Its roofs may not be as spectacular as those of its counterpart in Beaune, but the Hôtel-Dieu de Louhans, built in the ^17th and ^18th centuries, is nevertheless one of the most beautiful in France. Perfectly preserved, this architectural ensemble has stood the test of time. Guided tours by appointment include access to the patients' wards, the former refectory and the apothecary, with its fabulous collection of earthenware medicine jars.

Closed in January and February, May 1st and December 24th, 25th and 31st. Low season: open Wednesday to Monday. High season: Wednesday to Monday. High season from April to the end of October: three visits/day at 10:30am, 2:30pm and 4pm. Low season from November to the end of December and in March. two visits /day at 2.30pm and 4pm. guided tour by appointment only. Free for children under 12. Adults: €5.50. Children (12 to 18): €3 (same as unemployed). Groups (10 people): €4.50. Children's groups €2. Guided tour (only).

Une visite très intéressante. L'intérieur de l'hôtel Dieu est vraiment magnifique. Une pharmacie splendide ! Ça vaut vraiment le détour. La personne qui fait la visite guidée est sympathique et agréable.
