Segorbe (9,100 inhabitants) is located inland, at the northern edge of the Serra Calderona Natural Park. Its historic centre, still surrounded by part of its old medieval wall, has several churches (San Pedro, San Martín, San Joaquín and Santa Ana) and some museums of interest. The Plaza Auga Limpia is the ideal place to start exploring the city and is the seat of the Town Hall, a 16th century building that was once the palace of the Dukes of Medinaceli. The Santa Maria de la Asuncion Cathedral (13th-15th century) and the Municipal Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology are the two main places to visit.
