Travel Guide Huacalera

A very small village in the Quebrada, where you can maybe take a break if you are on your way to Humahuaca. Not much to do here, but there is an interesting attraction: a monolith dedicated to the Tropic of Capricorn. Because it is here, at this latitude, that one passes the tropic of the southern hemisphere. To see also: the chapel Immaculate Conception (1655) which contains two very beautiful works of the school of Cuzco: the Marriage of the Virgin and the Baptism of the Virgin. If you decide to stop, as everywhere in the Quebrada you will enjoy beautiful landscapes, but here you will be less surrounded by tourists
