Located by the sea about an hour's bus ride from Naha, Yomitan is a popular village for Japanese tourists, who come to enjoy the blue skies and ocean, the beautiful beaches and the abundant nature. It is not a top destination for foreign visitors to the island, but Yomitan is a good option to enjoy some peace and quiet, as the beaches are often deserted (outside the summer holiday period).
