This village, close to Fort Thirumayam, has a rich architectural heritage and is well worth exploring on foot or by bicycle. The Chidambara Vilas hotel alone is well worth a visit! And don't miss the Ayyanar temple at Namanasamudram, 18 km from the village. It is dedicated to Ayyanar, a local protective deity who is highly venerated, particularly in Chettinad villages. The temple boasts over a hundred multicoloured terracotta sculptures of elephants and horses, donated by devotees! Some 30 km from Kadiapatti, in the Sivaganga district, the Pillaiyarpatti temple is also well worth a visit.
