The Château de Couches, also known as the Château de Marguerite de Bourgogne, is one of the finest in Burgundy. Perched on a rocky outcrop at the entrance to Couches, this medieval fortified castle dates back to the 11th century. On a self-guided tour or with an audio-guide, admire the dwelling's facade with its glazed tile roof, its underground passageways, its justice keep set against the splendid 15th-century chapel, its topiary gardens, its park and its cellar. Wine tourism, meals at the Blason de Vair restaurant, children's workshops and a dream overnight stay in a B&B complete the offer.
