This Renaissance style castle is the most inspired of the Loire castles with its sumptuous apartments, its gilded rooms...

Built in the 17th century on medieval foundations, this moated Renaissance-style château is an object of great beauty. Guided tours take visitors through the sumptuous apartments, decorated and gilded like the finest châteaux of the period. The rest of the building is also well worth a visit, particularly the French gardens, which have little to envy those of the Loire châteaux. Disappeared in the 19th century, they were recreated in the 1990s. They include a vegetable garden and a labyrinth to delight children.

Ein sehr interessantes Schloss mit einem wunderschönen Garten. Schon beim Ticketkauf sind wir auf einen sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter getroffen. Die Führung war leider nur auf französisch, man bekam aber ein sehr informatives Heft in deutscher Sprache. Diese Heft war sehr interessant und detailliert. Die Führung dazu: klasse!.

Un château magnifique, bien conservé, grâce à 3 passionnés qui donnent de leur personne lors des visites. Nous avons eu une jeune femme comme guide et nous avons beaucoup apprécié ses explications. N oublions pas non plus les jardiniers qui font un travail remarquable !
Ne passez pas à côté !
Il est digne des plus beaux châteaux de Touraine !
