Built in the 17th century on medieval foundations, this moated Renaissance-style château is an object of great beauty. Guided tours take visitors through the sumptuous apartments, decorated and gilded like the finest châteaux of the period. The rest of the building is also well worth a visit, particularly the French gardens, which have little to envy those of the Loire châteaux. Disappeared in the 19th century, they were recreated in the 1990s. They include a vegetable garden and a labyrinth to delight children.

Nos deux enfants : une petite fille de 4 ans et un petit garçon de 2 ans, sont plutôt calmes et nous avons fait plusieurs visites de châteaux avec eux récemment. Ces dernières se sont bien passées, ils n'ont rien détruit, rien abimé et étaient ravis de découvrir un autre monde... Nous savons les "tenir" et rendre une visite de château intéressante pour eux.
Nous sommes donc repartis bien déçu de cet accueil, ou plutôt "non accueil". Nous sommes allés visiter le château de Brancion à la place et en avons été très contents !
